- The USCIRF has again raised 'concerns' over religious freedoms in India, citing alleged rise in 'hate speech', demolitions, and anti-conversion laws. Supporting, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken also backed the report’s claims and alleged discrimination in India. India’s Ministry of External Affairs has vehemently rejected the US’ report calling it ‘biased’ with ‘preconceived narrative’. Giving a ‘reality check’ to the United States, prominent religious scholars from India denounced the claims. Conversion is a big business to some people in India and are done on economic considerations or by misleading innocent people with stage managed healing shows and retreats. These are funded by organizations in the US. The funds received by these men who frequent the US every now and then for fund raising are spent on luxuries and in amassing wealth. Very little is spent on spiritual activities. There is no country in the world where almost all religions in the world peacefully co-exist as in India, the only multi ethnic multi cultural multi religious multi linguistic country in the whole world. 🇮🇳 Jai hind.

Need to take it with a pinch of salt a report on a country 4.2 times the size of the USA...and a society many times more complex as well......The point is reports based on hearsay evidences from vested interest groups, social media posts etc..cannot give an accurate picture of the situation on the ground...Such reports have destroyed the credibility of institutions that periodically come out with findings of various social issues..in different countries

Why does not India produce a report on the indigenous people (Red Indians) in US? How they are locked up in their reservation land providing no share in the 'profits' of US. India can also provide bursaries to these people's children to study in India AND publicise in US papers and TV channels This is how you respond to such activities, not trying to defend ourselves. This way US will stop selective biased reporting..
