I didn’t spend much tho and wasn’t willing to. But prolly should’ve grabbed like a nice classic players rookie auto graded. I remember unless it was like Brady or MJ etc they weren’t that much. Ppl didn’t value guys certain guys. Like for sure you could’ve gotten a nice David Rob or KG or w/e for wayyyyy cheaper than a Zion or even like some random rookie and it prolly held value better. That guy said if you wanted a store of value to buy like legends that’d always be legends. Brady, MJ, LBJ, Bird, Magic, even like Tiger? He said a bunch others but I forget. I’m sure everyone got hit hard by the market, but guys collecting legends probably not as bad as guys collecting rookies? Like Chris Vernon (Verno, from The Ringer) works for MEM. He bought a million Ja rookies PSA 10. He got in super early when they were only maybe 300-500? He said he had a TONNN. He’s not rich but I’d imagine over those years he collected like 50+ minimum. I emailed in to the show telling him to sell like 1/4 of them bc they were going for CRAZYYYY numbers. I don’t think he ever did. Man I’m not some card expert, total opposite, but I swear even regular Ja rookie PSA10 the nice ones were going for thousands at one point. Idk what it is now.
You can do a memorabilia video on main channel if you make it into a 2k challenge. Challenge wouldn’t be too difficult since it’s mostly stars, but whoever you get in the package is your roster

I was collecting from very start of pandemic to like maybe a bit before everything STARTED opening up again. So I haven’t bought a card in what feels like forever…not in ‘22 I don’t think. I didn’t spend much money tbh. Probably around $500. I bought one cheaper box (a Donruss of Embiid’s year and I hit a rookie auto Joel…it looks pristine) but I never got it graded. During peak I saw ppl selling it for like 4-500 raw, and like a 9 for 1-1200. Feel like that’s probably so far down now. I haven’t kept up. I also bought some singles and then one other VERY cheap box. I sold enough to make my $ back (I flipped a THT like x/10 auto when he went nuts in the bubble. I legit had a feeling he was gonna get a ton of PT bc LAL was locked in so had no reason to play the games. And he dropped a couple big games so ppl went crazy over it. A single I bought for $30 a month prior (even that was a great deal) flipped for $400. Then I sold a Keldon Johnson that I probably should’ve held. Anyway long post. Just curious what ppl think. My main good cards are like a SGA numbered to like /99 or /149 rookie patch auto. Before he blew up this season it was going for like $200 raw. Idk about graded. If he continues to play like this it might be worth something. Then the Joel, a LaVine emerald UCLA auto I think numbered? An Ayton RPA numbered to like…10? 10 at most. Beside that I don’t think anything notable. I have a box full that’s all sleeved and top loaded I haven’t looked at in SO long. I have no clue about cards ngl. I was doing it for fun. Was happy to make my money back, I didn’t think the market would crash like this but w/e. I guess if you’re real knowledgeable about cards hit me somehow? Thx.

I’m literally a professional gambler (poker) so I especially hate to see it. It’d be like me as a poker player streaming blackjack or even worse slots. Like you know how bad it is. And before someone says you can make a living playing BJ, good luck. There are VERY FEW people in the WORLD that beat blackjack for a good living, good enough to make up for all the stress. and I said streaming. You can’t beat online blackjack.

Anyway, I’ve been a fan for a few years or so n I also recently became a dad.
