I m from Kolkata and our Kolkata metro very often use horns , cause when someone is just close to the yellow line either you will be caught in CCTV camera and the controller who is watching you from surveillance camera will announce for awareness or otherwise the duty in- charge are maintained by the rpf in each station will look after, i travel everyday!! And haven't yet heard metro horn 📯

However, Indian Railways is the lifeline/backbone of the nation and it is the biggest Government Organization Network which connects South India to North India and from West to East. Everywhere you will get Indian Railways service in the country(excluding some exceptions). So, Indian Railways is way more efficient for Citizens. I am not undermining Metros at all.
