I have about 6 abandoned hibiscus plants somewhere. You have inspired and encouraged me to go and give them new life- Thank you! I will share my progress with you.
This is so beautiful! I have one hibiscus plant but it’s in tree form. I gave it a good pruning this spring and it’s doing well. I live in the desert, not a great place for hibiscus to flourish. But I followed your pruning video and I water it a lot. So far so good.
WOW! Great work and much kudos to your hard work and glad to know your plant is doing great, awesome! Wish you all the best and hope your plants flourish in coming days!
Wish you all the best! Please no worries...I upload most of my videos after getting results. Only sometimes, I do it in advance as that's the right time to do. Also, not all time, I record all of my gardening activities. Behind the came, lots of works, experiences keep happening :-)
In this method, the plant may sustain for around 6-8 months. After that what are you going to do. Can you please give an update on this plant about adding new fertilizer etc after few months. TIA. Hoping to see the updates. Also have you tried using dried and crushed vegetable peels as fertilizer. Will it work out. I would have loved to experiment, but due to lack of space and plants in my balcony i cant try. Hence this suggestion.
Fertilizing the plant won't be difficult..I would add it either on top or bottom pot. But before that, I would remove at least 1 inch of the old soil. Sure, I would update the video in coming days..so far going good and it's blooming non-stop. Thank you!
Thank you so much and glad you liked it. YES, definitely it did. Just to check, few days back I actually tried to pull up the upper pot very lightly and carefully and I observed the strong reaction..he he..definitely those were the roots which started to scold me..he he..Anyway, I did it extremely carefully because I know that, if I mess with my Hibiscus plant with budding stage, it's going to punish me by falling off all the buds...
Sure...I would do a detailed video on this topic..even, I also find quite difficulty while managing my plants in continuous rainfall. But still, manage it somehow and I would include all the important info.
Can we avoid the down pot and all the steps in it and just in one pot which you used in top can we just do that???I stay in a flat actually and I don’t get to store the kitchen waste as well as I am a very beginner to gardening infact I brought a hibiscus plant yesterday evening can you please help me out Sir?
Thank you for watching and here are the answers -> >> Did the roots grow into the bottom pot. YES, definitely it did. They don't like harsh direct sunlight and prefers much cooler places. So, obviously they won't come out from the bottom pot, be it either Daytime or Nighttime. But I know, they are there. How come? Well..I have encountered them many times while repotting many of my plants. As soon as I see them, I help the m to reach another pot by picking up them carefully! They looks cute..but I can't tough them directly if I don't wear gloves..LOL :-)
I have purchased 10/12 grafted hibiscus plants 4/5 months back. I am keeping these in open during rainy. Why those plants are having curly leaves and some are having wilted leaves? Please advise.
Hmm...can relate this problem and this usually happens with grafted plants. Many Hybrid varieties are grafted as they don't root well in our extreme hot weather. Basically, this is why it happens. I have faced this issue too and here I have shown how I fixed this - th-cam.com/video/Ia8tTp81_YY/w-d-xo.html Because of the same reason, now a days I usually don't buy grafted plants. Thank you!
I would try to do that...problem is, then need much cooler climate like Tulips :-( This year, I would try to do again...Failed to grow Tulips for the 4th times and I won't ever thy to grow Tulips in my place again..he he...
Because it depends! We don't need to remove the red soil completely if they are not like hard rock. And, if we do every time, plants may die after repotting. In this case, the red soil was not hard like rock and that is why I didn't remove it. But I have done for some other plants (when it as like solid rock I would share in coming days). But in most cases, it's not a a good idea to remove the complete soil from root-ball, unless we are not experimenting something new. Thank you!
Sure..for any plants we can use this method..By doing this, we can compost Kitchen waste + grow plants in a unique way. There is no any fertilizers that can work better than what nature gives us..
I can understand..it is best for Gardeners who love to make their own compost at their home. But anyway, I didn't get any bug issue.. it happened as I added the soil on Top layer and also, keep setting the soil timely as I have shown in the video. Did it intentionally...or else, I would have find many Slugs, Centipedes, Millipedes etc. roaming around my pot.

Why have you not removed red soil? People say that not removing red soil can suffocate roots eventually killing the plant. Is it true?
