Since when Singapore is stressful, it’s that people are getting richer and richer and kids are enjoying phones / iPads even before knowing how to run, lol.
There was 2-4 different series. My fav is 4wd. The kids have to race through different environmental courses and have a hockey stick to guide the cars.
You didn't know.. maybe you can visit stargrek and see when their offical race begins. There are still alot of race going on, just that alot of people now are only playing with their phones...
Dude crazy nostalgia here! I remember when I was young I used to see many kids racing these in the heartland malls in my area. Things like beyblade and yoyo were also the hype. Hope such things get revived and pull more people out of phone games!
Jia Ling yes, there is a beyblade tournament every weekend . You can head to the BeybladeSG Facebook page to see where and when the tournaments are held 😉
Man this is absolute fun in the past... I remember my first tamiya ... Me and my neighbours were too poor to afford the track so the best we could do was race our car in the drain. It was just one straight line and we would run with our car to the end.
Way back late 90’s to early 2000 tamiya racing is big in the Philippines and i would say that I’m one of the people who really enjoys building and racing. But as time passed most of people lose interest and eventually quit racing just like me. Good thing now is that tamiya racing is getting popular again. I still got my kits and some of my unbuilt mechanical series til now.
my favourite tamiya cars are the avante , vanquish and terra scorcher!! i had them all .. saved uo my pocket money just to buy them even those black special series.. the good old days.. its nice to see some guys n gals are still keeping it alive.m
when i was in primary school i saved up $20 and bought a plasma motor. didn’t have any money left so i walk back home instead of taking the bus. came home feeling like a proud man with a new trophy!
Last month my uncle offered to give two of these cars to me stored in plastic boxes. They were left behind by his sons after they got married and moved out. I did not know what they were and declined. Uncle threw them away to garanguni
This reminds me of that anime Let's & Go, which helped popularise the toys back in early 2000s. I still remember my red saber car that wasted lots of my money (because rechargeable batteries were still a rarity). It was fun and happy memory. Then the online gaming craze happened and the fad died down. A dollar for playing online game at internet cafe for hours is definitely cheaper and more addicting than 15 dollars for a mini 4wd car
Man back in the days we used to built our own motor/ dynamo with various copper knit just to see any of us would go faster until our car crashed into the wall.
I recalled there was another type of miniature cars racing in my younger days. They were smaller and ran on the circuit which were electrically charged. Used to see them in the arcades. Anyone knows what were those?
My uncle wanted to give me two sets of this as his son married away and didn't bother to take his wares. But I declined and my uncle gave them to charity guranguni
Wa......my childhood hobby is catching spiders.....Tamiya also but last time can not afford those cars...lol so catch spiders lor... Anyone here wanna form spider group? =)

tamiya race never dies, I save my daily allowance to buy tamiya car and parts, it's exciting and unlimited customizable setup
Singapore is so stressful nowadays it's good to see people enjoying what they do
Since when Singapore is stressful, it’s that people are getting richer and richer and kids are enjoying phones / iPads even before knowing how to run, lol.
Didn't know that people still play with Tamiya cars. Major throwback to my childhood. The animes was cool too.

The parents did incredible job teach their kids to play tamiya 💗
I still remember pestering my dad to buy me a plasma dash motor. One of my favorites apart from the hyper dash 2 😂
Oh man.. Remember saving up for a hyper dash motor and bringing my tamiya to clementi to use the track
Hahaha yes the hyper dash
Don’t forget the “burning in” process ha
Bloody hell, he said tamiya is in his blood. What a guy !

my favourite tamiya cars are the avante , vanquish and terra scorcher!! i had them all .. saved uo my pocket money just to buy them even those black special series..

This one legend
i remember racing my tamiya racecar at bedok last time...
Video is too short, perhaps could cover more on the immaculate construction of each and every tamiya car.

But it's actually called Mini 4WD. Tamiya is just one of the brands who makes Mini 4WD and the one who popularized it.
This dude looks and reminded me off Arturo from Money Heist
nice video! ever thought about doing one on tamiya rc cars?
Good ol days lol.. spent a lot of money back then 😆
Man back in the days we used to built our own motor/ dynamo with various copper knit just to see any of us would go faster until our car crashed into the wall.
