FWIW, no indication that this works on a Mini 3 Pro or an Avata 2. After all the latest updates, they still max out at 500m above launch in the Safety setting. I did verify with the Avata 2 that I could submit a self defined region unlock request to DJI flysafe with a higher max altitude and if approved, that can be imported into the drone, and activated while in that zone. I used that one in the mountains here this weekend, up to 3000ft. When you say in the description, the "GEO zone I setup", that sounds like an unlocked zone. Are you sure that one is not still active, giving you this ability?
@@daemn420:47 The Mavic 3 and the Air 3, you could slide the max altitute to 3280ft. The Minis and the Avata you can only slide to 1640ft. In the Air 3 and Mavic 3, you would need to be outside an (1640ft altitude zone) to be able to climb to 3280. With the new geozone changes, I think those birds can now go 3280ft anywhere.
@@rubengarciajr7560 yeah i was wondering why my mavic 2 mini wouldnt go past the 1640 ft,im climbing a nearby mountain keeping AGL well below 400ft i was now hoping to get to the top after seeing that mavic 3 have 3280 after the update.Maybe more info will be released soon.
@ the altitude limit was elevated for my Mavic 3. Normally, the max altitude was 1,640 feet. Sadly, my Mini 3 Pro’s altitude is still maxed out at 1,640 feet.
you don't. you keep line of sight of the direction of your drone and watch the area around it. kinda hard to hit a plane when you know it's coming unlike the idiots in California that didn't watch and hit the waterbomber.
Thanks for sharing brother boy. Keep droning... G-day from down-under.
Thanks, cheers from up here!
Happy that you can use the reduced restrictions. Let's hope others won't abuse.
We can only hope.
Bravo!professional channel-))
Thanks!🙏

All my unlock zones were turned off
@@DroneFlyingwithUncleBob Must be a feature of the Mavic 4 then.

@ Gotcha, thanks. The Avata 2 can go higher, but need the self defined zone unlock to do so.
Awesome! 😎👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Sharing with the FAA! Congrats on breaking the law and posting it on the internet!
This is really cool. Do you think a mini 3 can do this?
I’m sure it can. Just make sure you stay under 400 feet above ground level.
@DroneFlyingwithUncleBob ok thank you!
I tested my Mini 3 pro and I was unable to fly above 1,640 feet. Video coming soon.
@@DroneFlyingwithUncleBob that's interesting, looks like the new geozone changes didn't remove the altitude limit.

How do you see the drone from 5000 feet away? I can barely see my Mavic Air 2 with strobes at 400 feet.

Drones are a menace
The Drone is an inanimate object...the stupid owners are the "menace"
And so are you
