That was a crazy rumor. Rubix had no control or rule over Criminalz Crew, created by, and dancers appointed by, Larry and Laurent - unless they'd give him control. The Twins look on Rubix as extremely talented as well as someone they trust and have trained up, in a sense, to learn all aspects of what they do. He stayed with them in the U.S. while going to school, went to functions with them and work shops and interviews. That wasn't 'just because'. They're very strategic and thoughtful and one thing they're strategic about is his future. Not his alone, but that should be very evident.
