the lift motor basically does nothing but adding drag and weight during forward flight. Likewise the forward motor does nothing during lift mode. Compare to a tilt rotor design where the same motor is used in forward and lift mode, it's probably going to be less energy efficient and weight efficient. Of course you could make the argument that you could optimize blade profile for each mode and tilt rotor has weight penalty for the tilting mechanism. But relative magnitude of negative outweigh the positive. So unless you have a very specific mission requirement like flying inside tight space where titling mechanism can't work. This kind of separate propulsion system will always be under power and have shorter flight time compare to single propulsion tilt rotor configuration.
Awesomely done as always man, these are fun to watch! I do have a question on the technical aspects of your, how long does something like this take you to make? Is it in blender? But keep up the amazing work guys!
@@Aitelly is it too much if i ask if you could give a few recommendations on how to learn blender?? Your videos kinda inspired me, but don’t worry Im not going to do what you do lol. Anyway keep up the great work.

Wow. I would like to build a VTOL UAV one day.

You can drop a shell, grenade or leaflets and other packages (having parachutes). Very useful in urban areas
Awesome animation and explanation. Loved it !!
excellent introduction about the VTOL.
thanks my dude for making videos that are actually interesting and I don't loose IQ instead i gain more thanks!!!!!

Blender 3D Software.
The longer ones above 10 mins took around 3 weeks to produce.
While the shorter video takes 3 days.
@@Aitelly that’s way impressive, you got talented! Thanks for the response.

Nice!
Which software used for animation?
In almost any shack, with a 3D printer and the plan files, dozens of these drones can be made in a short time.BTW riches and some solar panels.

Great tech 🇺🇸🎇. 🔋
Why the front propellers are faced downwards?
For generating Lift and countering the Heavy weight of the UAV
@@Aitelly can't they do it with the propellers facing up like the back propellers?
Amazing 😍
Amazing
Hi, For the VTOL MFE Hero, where can we find a transportation case for it in Europe?
Light Weight Baby
Brother can you share any content from where i can design it on preliminary basis.
Great
Hey you did a good job but alot of repetition
Can you do a video on the ZPU anti aircraft gun
Indian army deployed this type of UAV against Chinese army on high mountain warzone

Looks easy to make it, but, in fact...
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Put propeller in front not back

your clockwise and counter clockwise directions are reversed
I wonder how much do they cost
