Ryocust OTP Well, it fits. The Battle of Gronder Field in the Church Route (the only route where Byleth isn’t in the fight) ends in heavy losses for all three sides, with Edelgard getting injured, Dimitri dying, and Claude possibly also biting it.
Thus the end of the battle was heralded by the cheers of premature victory. But as the sun set over the red and blue stained mountains, excited shrieks turned to horrified gasps as those in gold became awash in fear and silence. From the dusk emerged a strange warrior clad in what can only be described as the pajamas of the dead, from that moment on as the Golden Deer that remained met the steely gaze of the bloodthirsty Blue Phantom that emerged from the mountain itself, they knew then and there that the battle had ended, but not on their favor, for the true blood bath had begun, and the mountains would be stained yellow by nightfall. The spirit raised its blade. It spoke. Nobody heard the words, only saw its maw open and clamp shut, but they knew what it meant. It stepped forward~

This battle was wild, throughly entertaining, and canonically realistic.
GD didn't even use Lysthiea and still (debatebly) won
no death knight to be seen
Lysithea isn't actually that strong of a unit and is massively overrated because of her early game potential as a boss killer. Change my mind.
@@sizzle5775 Warp and the abillity to reliably kill maddening mode swordmasters in one hit from range. That's all i need in a unit.
@@appelofdoom8211 Lorenz can kill swordmasters on Maddening. Warp is her best attribute. Sure she has amazing high magic and good range but she's not anymore effective than anyone else in combat.
@@sizzle5775 strap thyrsus (or Caduceus Staf) in her and black magic range +1 and suddenly Lysintheia can nuke from across the map. Any unit can be good with the right build, but she's easy to build into a nuke if you play her right which is why she ends up being one of the best units for a lot of ppl.
While Golden Deer was the last house standing, Blue Lions took out the most enemies.
Per the ruling of this mock battle in canon, the house that takes out the most enemies is the victor, regardless if they still stand or not.
wait SO GD wins survivor and Murderer trophy goes to BL?
It all goes to BL because there is no "survivor" trophy.
@@Practitioner_of_Diogenes wait when I played through I won the fight regardless, not by kills, kills was given an extra prize
Yet, Blue Lions is still the one that won.
Fr the point of the battle is to get the most kills which the blue lions did the gd don’t get anything for be the last standing.
Now do it again with everyone fully grown up.
black eagles had so much damn plot armor
Ferdinand mostly.
Accurate to how pre release media pretty much only cared about Edelgard until literally the month before the game came out
Plot armor does not work in gameplay scenarios.
I like how this played out in a way that was very true to the story; the Eagles and Lions fought each other with the Lions maintaining the edge, only for the Deer to come in and finish off the weakened opponents. Claude continues to be the sneaky strategist even in an AI-only fight.
It'd be interesting to see how this battle would play out if everyone was in different positions! This was really cool to see, thank you for your efforts!
This was really fun to watch. Good work man
The Pegasus Knight that missed the 85% on Ferdinand.
It hurts my soul.
Ferdinand went on to kill 3 people after that miss. That Pegasus Knight might have cost the Blue Lions the match.
Ferdinand proving why he's the noblest of nobles. Regal as the eagle baby.
I liked when Ignatz used a vulnerary instead of killing the pegasus knight right in front of him. I also liked when Linhardt healed a generic Empire unit instead of Edelgard.

Months later for a comment of years ago, but this guy is a notorious edelstan. It's like a butthurt museum seeing his comments in this comment section
Can you do that for the other battle on Gronder Field too?
its either a cannon version with Ferdinand von Aegir dead before the battle or a custom one with all generals from the three sides
Tibor Nowak it’s probably possible but with the empire having demonic beasts and the other armies being a bit smaller (I think) it may make it uneven but who knows
Ryocust OTP Well, it fits. The Battle of Gronder Field in the Church Route (the only route where Byleth isn’t in the fight) ends in heavy losses for all three sides, with Edelgard getting injured, Dimitri dying, and Claude possibly also biting it.
I hope he could make it a fog of war too, because it was hinted that it may happen, but the mist clears out just before the battle.
@@relinoylli2 But Edelgard does not have anyone but Hubert on her side in Church route.
Thank you, thank you, you’re too kind.
Unlike the Blue Creature of the Red Dusk on Gronder Field.
Claude getting a cheeky conversation with Dimitri right at the end was too perfect 🤣
MVP: Ferdinand Von Aegir!!! What a wondrous individual!
LVP: Ignatz and Lysithea! They just died.
Golden Deer survived the longest because Marianne stayed out of trouble and kept healing
Yeah mai Gurl Marianne with dem heals.
Huh, kinda fitting that Felix, the lone Wolf, was the last one standing for blue lions.
I'm just here like, Mercedes, no, don't run into the heat of battle!
And there she goes, served right up to Raphael. xD Oh my god Mercedes I know you wanted to heal the others but you need to take care of yourself too
She didn't even heal anyone that turn either.
Hilda held on really well against both Dedue and Dimitri :O
Can we just salute that one blue lions cav that sacrificed herself to kill Lysithea
I'm glad I recruited Ferdinand to the Blue Lions before the timeskip. Judging by this video, he'd have been able to take down our entire team single-handedly. Great job with the video!
Who else was rooting for the nameless NPCs to die asap
The chad Ingrid ushing the virgin Edelgard
2:12 Why is there no comments on Ashe literally DESTROYING this rando flyer on his first turn?
7:57 I love how this moment is when you see the hearts of all Lysithea fans get crushed and Chaz is just cackling in the background.
I get the feeling that placement is what really mattered here, the Dear were just so out of the way that it makes sense
I would love to see this battle related with each house starting at the top position. I think it would be interesting to see how much the map mattered in this fight.
The minute they lost Mercedes, the Blue Lions was going to meet their end. But damn.... Fear the Deer! OMG! I mean, they were the last one standing so... technically they won.
black eagles getting destroyed by the blue lions then claude and hilda fucking destroying dimitri and dedue was amazing. FEAR THE DEER
The black eagles messed up so hard, they couldve killed Dmitri so many times
I'm surprised in how bad the Eagles played, except for our ultimate carry Ferdinand von Aegir
Lol at Byleth being trapped in the mountain
Seteth: "This year's winner of the Battle of the Eagle and Lion is...Ferdinand von Aegir! All the Blue Lions are dead because they were green units, so I suppose this Azure Moon run has now become a Silver Snow run."
If this could be recreated in the timeskip that would be amazing but probably pretty difficult
Really want a time skip version of this now.
The fact that Hilda survived Dedue
Ferdinand carried the Black Eagles.
Damn I didnt know the pre timeskip kids had a death scream
Ofcourse Claude finishes it off with a Gambit
I like how the Golden Deer let the Blue Lions and Black Eagles kill each other, then swooped in and took out the rest.
TheJayEagle I get its strategy but it’s still a punk move oh well
It's a clever strategy. Especially if you use it in real life war scenario
This is a Blue Lions timeline where Byleth sat out the battle of the Eagle and Lion and all three factions brought their full forces (E.G. Randoms, as whatever class you play with don’t bring Randoms normally.) I’m all for this, because it makes it a bit more fair, makes sense canonically, and of course, all of the classes are entirely in character. XD
This battle went exactly how I hoped it would and was awesome to watch!
So Blue Lions get the prize while Golden Deer win the battle.
Black Eagles would’ve lost even earlier if it wasn’t for Ferdinand von Aegir and he was outnumbered too.
Excellent Content! I would love more!
