That's why music is subjective. Just because you think a song is good or bad it doesn't mean the opposite is true. He probably thinks another song of his should be as popular because it means a lot to him. Ric Flair was just a filler song for him but turns out the people loved it.
When you make a song you listen to it a LOT differently then to another ear. You hear it completely differently and listen for different things
most artists gon tell u they dont like half they discography, there is nø selfish ear that will tell u “this gon be a hit”
yes and no, it really is impossible to predict what people like sometimes and a common artist issue is people love what you think is your worst song and people dislike what you think is your best song
