I loved this tutorial, honestly its so much better and clearer than a lot of the other ones out there.... Plus, that dress looks bomb on you. When I make it I'm going to be disappointed no matter what seeing as there's no way it will look as good as it did on you hahaha
I'm over here saying, "What magic is this I'm seeing?! 😱" Great job. Pattern making and a good seamstress is the skill set I'm most impressed by, more than having good food. 🤦🏾♀️😍 Also, the vavavoom hips. You didn't have to do us like that 💅🏾💄👠😹 Awesome.
My love!! This slip dress came out so nice. I really love the color and how it fits you overall. Did you use the slash and spread method to make your cowl neck, how did you come up with those 3 lines in the neck/chest area at 1:18?
I got started doing the slash and spread but i changed that later . (Which is why i opted not speak on the slash and spread ) I kept it the same way and just extended the width of the top by pushing the armhole a little further back which i explained later.
How did you edge stitch on a stretchy material? Did you do zigzag to connect them and then just a straight stitch on top? Wouldn’t it break when you stretch it? I’m just learning and I really want to try this dress!! 🤩
This is a beautifully made dress you're truely talented. I tried clicking on the link to the bursa style knit bodice but i cant actually find the pattern :/ do you mind helping me? Idk if its not available anymore or what. Many thanks x
Mikayl Trinidad yes it’s a stretch satin like fabric i bought from a store in the garment district neighborhood of Manhattan NY, called Fabric World USA
Siri Lindgren i did make my own pattern. It’s pretty simple. You extend the armhole further back and create a wide neckline . If it’s a little confusing in the video clip. Maybe I’ll create a how to video for the pattern specifically .
Siene i creates my Own pattern. Hopefully you can follow along and possibly make your own but if you want some suggestions for some that are available out there let me know
Siri Lindgren you can check out this pattern , it’s only $3 , if you can’t create your own from how i made mine. Link: just-patterns.com/shop/christy-slip-dress

Hi! What kind of silk fabric did you use? It seems like it is stretchable.
Mikayl Trinidad yes it’s a stretch satin like fabric i bought from a store in the garment district neighborhood of Manhattan NY, called Fabric World USA

Why did you cut the straps into two geometrical patterns just to see it back into one piece? Serious question
thank you for this!!
Bombb girll
Wish the body came with the design 😔😔 imma still make it but it won’t look as good on a cardboard box😔
