I can tell you why, our environment shapes us to a greater extent. Most kids who grow up in ghettos have very limited or no opportunities at all to shape their decision making. Many factors come into play, if you are privileged to have grown up in a 'good environment you may have that kind of thinking because opportunities shaped a path for you where options were availed.... socio demographics, environment, cultural setups are tricky factors to explore in the way we turn up and very difficult to analyse.....

I equally grew up in a slum ( Reuben) & the only people we looked up to are "Dingo's" . And dating one was a plus.
But once you move out of the slum n get the exposure ,you come to realize theres more to life than crime n drugs.
Let her girls be open to any job opportunity atleast wasaidie their sick shosh & their depressed mum.
