As a DAAD scholarship winner, great video! Just an extra tip: Check first the database as so many variables change! In my experience with DAAD EPOS, 2 years of work experience was required, the scholarship also included 2 months of intensive German in Germany before uni and they also covered all costs for that.
Additionally, yes they cover flight expenses but this is a reimbursement once you land and register to your course in Germany.
Also, you get access to the DAAD portal once you are awarded where you will get all the documents needed (insurance, scholarship certificate, etc)
After that, all you will ask from DAAD will be through the portal (as additional grant for rent for example).

As a DAAD, Merit, Erasmus Mundus, and IIP Program scholarship holder. My only tip for everyone is to be fully prepared for your CV and motivation letter.
For your CV, I strongly recommend focusing on your GPA and German language during your studies in high school or bachelor's degree.
For the motivation letter, I can suggest what you want to achieve in your career and life and your goals for using your knowledge.

@@leukemia6175 I'm sorry if I don't understand your case. In my case when I got LOA, I did not pay anything. But in order to get scholarship after you submit your LOA, you have to land in Germany first and then create German bank account first, I used Sparkasse. Because German scholarship only transfers to your German bank account. Usually you have to pay by yourself such as flight ticket, first month of your dormitory. So you must prepare your own cash or else you would be overwhelmed by expensive stuffs here in Germany.

Different DAAD scholarships have different deadlines. For Master degrees, deadline is in December.

In my country, students have to study at school for 11 years but in Germany, I heard that foreign students are required to study 12 years to study at German University . Is that correct
hi german here :) usually minimum is 12 years to get your abitur, some may even take 13 yrs. DAAD has a great website to check how comparable your high school diploma is to a german one
