I am a Harley guy and I ride an 04 Road King. I also work in a Harley dealer. I think BMW made it perfect, looks gorgeous, clean, retro, an amazing machine. I am buying one when time comes for sure.

Gabby , it's a must have as you and I well know more of what this really is that most of these commenters have ever experienced ..who have never seen or ridden on this type of BMW that would have showed up in the UK at a place called the ace Cafe in a time long long ago ...but in America you would find two or three sitting at the local "pub" in farmersburg ...a turbo version sitting on the front side walk at a place called Steven's dive bar ....and a third and last but not even close to least a totally tricked out in a 1/4 Cafe race fairing twin turbo with a dry Nos setup taking on all bets at Charlie's hideaway !!!! These are true TT racers .... Tavern to tavern ...and as a HD enthusious ...you can write it off as claiming its only your back up as saying your sporty has got glitch that needs a fix ..and tonight this is it !

Quite often BMW makes very "unbeutiful" bikes. R9t beautiful, yes, but GS line for example is as beautiful as a bucket with plumber's tools.

BMW as others manage to build something different than the concept. Look at the K1600B, it looks luke warm when compared to the Roland Sands concept bike. Keeping optimistic on this one.

First time ever, I'm actually interested in a BMW motorcycle. The key (for me) will be, US$ MSRP, depending on where this bike will be price-pointed. Is that ball-park established yet?

Beautiful no questions there and we will be happy to see bmw in cruiser segment however if you put bigger boxer engine, would that be damaged when you lean during cornering? I get that it's a cruiser and no one is going to lean like Rossi but this question is bugging me.

Dear BMW team, your design is beyond any criticism... This bike is another eye-catcher after introducing the 9T several years ago. Yet, when looking at the ergonomic features I assume this bike is made either for short people or for short trips only. Esp. if I look at the knee angle I fear that the target group will suffer from its arthritis riding it for more than a few miles...
I hoped you might find a solution similar to D....i's X.....l...

Still a lot of small things to add but if they keep same minimalism style they got a beautiful bike to produce. Personally I've had made the frame a bit longer and possible higher to improve seat height and get more distance from engine to improve leg room since ergonomics is a big question mark here, add a larger & wider teardrop tank + swept back Hollywood-bars will not change overall design so much but gives more upright riding position, more fuel or space to hide electronics etc.
Au moment ou harley envisage de passer a la moto electrique je suis heureux de voir que bmw oses relever le défi de répondre à la grosse quantitée de motards qui ne peuvent pas acheter de moto neuve par ce que l'essentiel du marché est composé de mixers futuristes avec dct etc merci!

Good points: it looks good, probably handles okay for a cruiser, it's a BMW so probably reliable.
Bad points: those cylinders will be throwing a lot of heat at your ankles, and you better like the position of the foot rests because you won't be changing it.

Mr Saturday night special yeah ..strap me on a bottle of gas of laugh hosed up to a turbo running illegal race juice of nitro that burn their eyes when the try to get close

Alle R18 Konzepte und auch die 3 unterschiedlichen Modelle, die mir in der letzten Augustwoche, in Norditalien mit Reisegepäck, Frontscheibe, etc. schon quasi auf Nullserienstand, im Straßentest, begegnet sind, weisen in die richtige Richtung. Wenn BMW beim Preis nicht übertreibt, sollte wohl eine den Weg in meine Garage finden.
All R18 Concepts as well as the 3 that I mett during its road testing in northern Italy last week of August, equiped with windscreen, paneers, etc. are showing that BMW is on the right way. If prices stay grounded one will surely find the way into my garage.
Man when it’s out m buying this one, I mean the model .

Dear BMW, can you please talk to your other 'petrol head' colleagues, to create another 'momentum' against the 'electric bike or car' crap we are 'pushed' to accept! I am very happy to see this development occurring! Good luck and keep going; absolutely love it. Now a Porsche 356/MG M-type re-launch... a small affordable oldie with loads/bags of happy emotional & sentimental values in it.... come on transport industry, you can do it!!
