Bi R Chopra with Sahi Ludhianvi and Ravi was a great combination in all practical sense and always a great force to reckon with. Wonderful music by team ravi in every songs of Waqt as well . BR Chopra Sahab was so close and loyal to sahir Ludhianvi that after super duper success of Naya Daur in 1957, when unpleasant situation arises between Op Nayyar and Sahir Ludhianvi on film Pyasa's credit issues and both were not ready to work in future any more. BR Chopra had to take a call now and he very clearly choose Sahir Ludhianvi over OP Nayyar, otherwise these all punjabies were very close to each other in person too. BR Chopra always had a plan in his mind soon after naya daur to make Waqt on bigger and grand canvas with three Kapoor brothers Raj KAPOOR, Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor as a son and Prithviraj Kapoor as a father in place of Balraj Sahani. he tried and convinced all the kapoors for Waqt casting but all the kapoor brothers along with papa ji suggested BR Chopra to have Shankar Jaikishan has as music director. B R Chopra agreed and approach to Shankar Jaikishan for the same and they also agreed to work with BR Chopra first time for this forthcoming project . now again the Sahir Ludhianvi factors came into play. BR Chopra insisted Shankar Jaikishan to work with Sahir Ludhianvi as a lyricist instead of Shailendra and Hasrat Jaipuri but Shankar Jaikishan refused to break their team. Again BR Chopra found himself in catch twenty two situation and again he sided with sahir ludhianavi and the dream casting of Waqt could not take place since Kapoor Clan also denied to work with BR Chopra without Shankar Jaikishan composition otherwise you would have experienced different kind of Music and film all together. Maaf Karna, here I never intend to demean the legendary and great music director Ravi Sahab because I equally like Ravi Sahab and Shankar Jaikishan offcourse shankar jaikishan used to have so huge, grand and king size orchestra unlike Ravi simple and sober music. this being the very interesting anecdote related to Waqt movie that's why I shared with you all. thank you and enjoy please.

I was awestruck by the film. It was an old film ,when I got a chance to see it in one of the cinema halls at Chittaranjan, a small border town in West Bengal .
