When I was in my early 20s I knew a young man who had been a helicopter gunner during the Vietnam War. He talked about what a beautiful country Vietnam was-much like the SE United States where I live. And what a remarkable experience it was to fly over such beauty knowing that every second could be his last. He said he wished every day of his life could be like that.
He will never know how profoundly he has influenced my life.

Hey Yvonne thanks for sharing. It's amazing how some little things in your life stick with you forever isn't it. And you never know what's around the corner. Today I'm going to visit the warm museum here which is meant to be pretty amazing. I hope you look at the video I'll create of that today as I'm sure it's going to have an impact on me.

There's so many bikes but I guess I'm already used to it.

I've had that Banh Mi 2 days in a row now and they were both sensational.

Yes, that was the US embassy and we all recall the helicopter taking off in terror on the roof. Perhaps that helicopter you filmed was like the one that took off. I recall that the helicopters flew out to the ships at sea, and many were dumped into the ocean. I enjoy seeing your videos. I think at the time the Vietnam War cost $100 million US. That was a huge sum 50 years ago.
And just think, 20 years of the US in Iraq and Afghanistan cost 6, or 8, or 10 trillion dollars. Who knows the cost as so much of the cost was hidden. Sad commentary of man's cruelty. And on and on the USA prints trillions and trillions of dollars ~
