Actually, succulents and cacti are the only plants who can do without the drainage holes. They are never ever to be watered so much it pools under, little goes a long way here! Even a good misting does the job. Learn the perfect watering ways with these and they are nearly impossible to murder :)

Hi Jen, nice job! One thing though...no to plants “planted” in bake or air dry ESPECIALLY clay. The air dry will literally melt! Don’t ask me how I know 🙄. The baked won’t hold up over time either. Your first idea was spot on, keep the plant in a nursery pot and remove to water and put back in after drying a bit.
I literally made those same jewelry dishes for everyone for Christmas a few years ago! I took different color clays and rolled them together to make tie dye patterns and then painted the edges gold!!

Jen I love the plant pot so much but if you ever make another one you should add a drainage hole in the bottom! The fastest way to kill a succulent is to let it sit in water, and drainage holes help prevent that

When you attach the bottom and top of the pot or whatever else you’re making you should definitely score it and add some water so it’ll stay together and not crack 😁
Little trick, you can use any existing glass, metal, ceramic container and stick your clay on top to bake a plant holder.. just add a thin layer of foil if you want a smooth unmolding.. please seal your work if you're gonna put a plant in it (no modpodge, WATERPROOF sealant) and drop a handful of rocks or gravel at the bottom for water drainage if you don't poke a drain hole at the bottom.. Ps. If you're gonna use air dry, better seal that real good.. use a matte finish on the outside of you wanna keep the look
