Miss Mike in front of the camera. He and Dale Jr. work well together and they feed off each other. Wish he would make some guest appearances. Like your show Kenny.
Mike Davis is an excellent content producer. He and Dale Earnhardt Jr. make great partners and complement one another. When you think about automobile racing and all of the people and personalities involved, there are so many angles that can lead to great broadcast content in the future. I wish Mike Davis and Dale Jr. much success in their future endeavors. Thanks Kenny for bringing out into the open.
I really enjoyed the dynamic between Mike and Dale Jr. For me it was missed for a while. I'm glad Mike is getting to do what he's passionate about, because at the end of day that's what truly matters.
Personally, i miss him on the show. Definitely understand the reasoning and I hope to occasionally see him make a cameo. I apprecieated his perspective and still appreciate his desire to grow the company and further the vision. Miss ya Mike!
I completely understand where Mike's coming from. The good thing is he helped develop Junior into the excellent, insightful interviewer he has become with Mike's tutelage. Most people know how "shy" Junior was as a kid and still retains some of that personality. With Mike as co-host, Junior was able to grow comfortable, spread his wings and really shine in the interviewer role. That "shy" kid had a whole lot of thoughts and ideas inside that quiet persona. I'm excited to see what Mike brings next to the company as a whole and what Dirty Mo Media will aspire to.
Mike’s a great guy! He and Dale Jr have great chemistry. Change is inevitable. Mike has his own ambitions. You can’t pay attention to what “some” people say! Thank you Mike and I appreciate your efforts!
Love the Crowe Equipment license plate in the background. Some of our best times at various racetracks have been with them. Lifelong friends we met at Daytona quite a few years ago!!
I really enjoyed Mike on the DJD and I really miss him on there. The relationship and the back and forth between him and Dale made the show in my opinion.
All good things come to an end!! Hopefully you will remain close friends for the rest of your lives. Here’s one of my favorite quotes. “ there are wooden ships, there are Sailing ships, there are Ships that Sail the Sea. The best Ships are Friendships and may they always be.”
He's done an awesome job developing the network over the years! I'm thankful they brought on Conor Daly and Speedstreet. Looking forward to what's to come.
Sounds like Mike was being pulled in too many directions and there was not enough time in a day to accomplish the most important task. I can appreciate and tip my hat to him for knowing that & making the change. I will miss him on the show, always enjoyed his interactions.
I really don't think he LIKED BEING IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA, AT ALL. I just "know" that is one of the main reasons he's not ON the show anymore. Still being the producer is a big deal in itself so I don't blame him
I listen to podcasts through work a lot and many many many hours of DJD and tbh I felt like the dynamic between dale and mike changed over time. Not like in a mean way really but like almost as if Mike was the odd one out esp during some of the interviews and stuff like he was corrected a lot and like the butt if some jokes tbh and idk when he said he was leaving and doing more other stuff I wasn’t surprised really
Hey Kenny....Your brother was my favorite driver for several years before he retired. I still have a Rusty Wallace wall clock hanging in my garage...Take care
While I miss Mikes input and stories people in these positions know when it's time and have goals they want to accomplish, he's still a valued member and friend of the company! Enjoy your life buddy, it goes fast!
Mike, you have so many shows where you try to make your input the primary source of information. Seriously, I implore you to recognize this in a plethora of interviews. Interjections, beliefs, opinions of any of an abundance of certain situations. You’ve warn out your value here, and have consistently stepped upon others with or without intent, it has still occurred. Good luck to you sir, and May you find your peace in all you have experienced. May you and your family live long and prosper elsewhere.
I just saw this video pop up for the very first time. I see it is from 11 days ago, and I don't know how I missed it, and I am posting this comment before I even watch it. I just want to say that this has been a burning question in my mind since Mike left The Dale Jr. Download, so Thank You Kenny! in advance. Now I will watch, lol.
I thought it was cool that no one knew that he was as big as he was... Secret Agent Man. I thought he was a hired hand and not a top level business owner, very impressive to hide in plain sight.
Maybe it's just me and nothing against Mike. But he was just not my Jam, I like Jr. and the guests but Mike always ssems to be the 3rd wheel to me. Glad he's doing what he likes and he'll be happier for it.
I liked Mike on the show, but i am glad he is still building the company and its future. Wish there was more on abandoned tracks, but there is always so much to do on the historical nascar aspects could be.
Mike brought a lot to The Dale Jr. Download, even though he stayed "on the sidelines" most of the time. I always enjoyed his input. But I fully understand his decision to step aside. Mike is a class act. Thanks, Kenny, for sharing this with us.
He totally explained to me "His happy place was in meetings and working with the people in LA" We are the only ones that control what makes us happy or you faking the best part of life. It's not forever
I asked Mike one day what you up to … he said runnin the Jr stuff behind the scenes … All due respect Mike we love ya.. Dale Jr wouldn’t be DALE JR without Mike D
i thought mike was jr's dirty mo media guy to begin with.if so, he's definately grown the company since the jr download began.to me, he did his job well.
All the respect for him. But at times it seemed out of balance that Dale Jr, icon was there on equal terms with Mike on that show. He must do a great job taking care of things but we tuned in to see Dale Jr. Credit to Mike for recognizing that.
I get the reasoning, but I do think he added a lot. When they have a driver on and Dale is asking questions, sometimes he doesn't ask more "fan"-esque questions (can't think of a better way to word it) and Mike did a good job of doing that.
Mike your were a great compliment with Jr. Your knowledge of the sport is amazing. It show with you and Jr. and the guests. Everyone has their goals I hope you find happiness in what u do. Your a loyal friend of Jr and the family .
He still works there. He runs Dirty Mo. Since he stepped down they have quadrupled their weekly content. He couldn't do that as easy being on the show. He made the right call
Well I always wanted to know why he left. And to be honest, I watch Jr.s show a little less. I like the Amy Segments I try and catch those. I mean she is the most kind hearted person you will ever meet! Its a fun segment. I do enjoy Jr. I just think Mike was a great co-Host!
I like the new direction of the show. People tune in for Dale Jr., and at times Mike was good for an episode and at tines, he was just sitting in his chair.
I’m now a rare listener of djd since Mike isn’t cohosting. People bitching directly about Mike is why. is he better asset now very possibly , but I have enjoyed Mike since the JRM360 days.
What I like about Kenny! He asks a question and lets you finish... Gottta love Herman..
Kinda like Dale Jr does ...
Miss Mike in front of the camera. He and Dale Jr. work well together and they feed off each other. Wish he would make some guest appearances. Like your show Kenny.
I really enjoyed him on the show and I desperately think he is missed on the show. When Amy is on it makes it better but Mike was good for it.
He’s definitely missed
I miss him being on the show.
He was definitely an asset. He was there for a lot of Jr's carrier and remembers parts and had details that Jr don't.
@@toddclark8398 he was there
I haven’t watched one since honestly. I watched part of the Mike Curb one and Kelley’s new business show. But apparently no Mike no me 🤷♂️
Mike was excellent on the show no matter how he feels Thanks Mike you’re a class act just like Jr!!!
Dale Jr sure is lucky to have a guy like Mike in his corner.
Good interview. Thank you for letting Mike talk uninterrupted.
Thank you for asking that question, Herm. Mike is a class act.
Mikes a class act all the way around and Juniors blessed to have guys like Mike on his team
Kenny is so awesome by letting his guest speak as much as needed. Mike you did well ol friend. See yall at the fishing spot 😉
Mike Davis is an excellent content producer. He and Dale Earnhardt Jr. make great partners and complement one another. Appreciate this - sometimes you just feel “done”
Getting into Schrader's brain. I wish you good luck with that.
I really enjoyed Mike when he was on the show.
Lost speedways was a great show
I completely understand where Mike's coming from. The good thing is he helped develop Junior into the excellent, insightful interviewer he has become with Mike's tutelage. i cant watch without mike davis his voice his aspect is life
i really miss Mike!!!!!
Mike’s a great guy! He and Dale Jr have great chemistry. Change is inevitable. Mike has his own ambitions. You can’t pay attention to what “some” people say! Thank you Mike and I appreciate your efforts!

I really liked Mike I haven't watched that show since he left
Me neither tbh 😔
Same
Agreed
Same here. Mike made that show imo
Same. I watched more before too. I like it when his wife Amy is on. Hearing stories from another woman’s side is interesting.
All good things come to an end!! Hopefully you will remain close friends for the rest of your lives. Here’s one of my favorite quotes. “ there are wooden ships, there are Sailing ships, there are Ships that Sail the Sea. The best Ships are Friendships and may they always be.”
Love the honesty from Mike
He's done an awesome job developing the network over the years!
I'm thankful they brought on Conor Daly and Speedstreet.
Looking forward to what's to come.
First time I heard Kenny be that speechless - hahahaha
Great conversation thanks for the honesty...

Remember Johnny Carson show? You watched it for Ed Mcmahon also. That's what I miss from the show, Mike!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha😂
You wanted a new chapter in your life. So you add new stuff in to your life. You are great at wha you do an that is helping yourself help others.
I listen to podcasts through work a lot and many many many hours of DJD and tbh I felt like the dynamic between dale and mike changed over time. Great feedback Mike and Kenny
Hey Kenny....Your brother was my favorite driver for several years before he retired. I still have a Rusty Wallace wall clock hanging in my garage...Take care
I loved the episode where Mike spoke about the "San Francisco" vacation. It was a hoot!
While I miss Mikes input and stories people in these positions know when it's time and have goals they want to accomplish, he's still a valued member and friend of the company! Enjoy your life buddy, it goes fast!
I always enjoyed Mike’s perspective on various topics. I thought he was a valuable asset to the production.

The show hasn’t been the same since to be honest they had such a chemistry..
Honestly don’t watch much anymore but I watch kW though!
completely understandable and respect him a bunch on that decision. but man I miss Mike on the download
Really miss Mike on there! Haven’t watched but a handful of episodes this year with the new guys.
I thought it was cool that no one knew that he was as big as he was... Secret Agent Man. I thought he was a hired hand and not a top level business owner, very impressive to hide in plain sight.
I hope he comes back as a guest love Mike
It’s Dale’s Show…..he gave you the answer.
Maybe it's just me and nothing against Mike. But he was just not my Jam, I like Jr. and the guests but Mike always ssems to be the 3rd wheel to me. Glad he's doing what he likes and he'll be happier for it.

I'm one of the few who's glad to see him go, to be honest. Some interviews he interjected at key moments and came across as a third wheel.
Me too!!
You are missed Mike!!!!!! I will always watch it but it is not the same without you. You would bring a “fans perspective” that we all miss.
Mike was great on the Download. Will miss him on camera, and the show will continue to be great with him producing. Best wishes to Mike moving ahead!
Mike, America loves you and needs you to guest host at least a few times a season. For me the download is missing something without you
Sounds like Mike takes greater pride in the success of the show and the company than having his face on camera.
Mike brought a lot to The Dale Jr. Download, even though he stayed "on the sidelines" most of the time. I always enjoyed his input. But I fully understand his decision to step aside. Mike is a class act. Thanks, Kenny, for sharing this with us.
I do miss the chemistry of Dale and Mike.
I agree,it was definitely time
“What the f*** Kyle petty got to do with this?!” 😂😂 Mike we miss you, hope you can make a guest appearance soon!
And his reactions when Dale delves into stories about his Dad especially the Halloween hiking that Jnr shared with Ryan Blaney.
Mike was a dominant presence. It felt like his show instead of Dale's. Dale felt like a co-host instead of the main guy.
Miss him on the show. He spoke the truth sometimes. 💯
Mike come back, you were a great addition to the show. It’s not the same without you.
Getting in the brain of the 2 Kennys might be a scary undertaking. Lol
Mike on the DJD was the point man every great scorer needs. He was the rudder.
I really liked mike being on the show
i thought mike was jr's dirty mo media guy to begin with.if so, he's definately grown the company since the jr download began.to me, he did his job well.
The show definitely needs Mike back
Man, I miss Mike on the Dale Jr. Download.
It indeed was not time. Come back pls
All the respect for him. But at times it seemed out of balance that Dale Jr, icon was there on equal terms with Mike on that show. He must do a great job taking care of things but we tuned in to see Dale Jr. Credit to Mike for recognizing that.

I really enjoyed mike on the show. It's not the same. IMHO he made that show better
He could not handle the negative comments about him
So basically he left because he didn’t like how people viewed him or his “worth” when all that matters is that Dale knows his worth.
Mike your were a great compliment with Jr. Your knowledge of the sport is amazing. It show with you and Jr. and the guests. Everyone has their goals I hope you find happiness in what u do. Your a loyal friend of Jr and the family .
Are you buying what Mike Davis is selling I think there is more to the story.
There is always two sides to a story.
He started reading comments probably.
He still works there. He runs Dirty Mo. Since he stepped down they have quadrupled their weekly content. He couldn't do that as easy being on the show.
He made the right call
Without saying it, he just described a combo of creative differences and burned out
No lol. He got sick of fans calling him out.
It’s not the same without him. He needs to be back on the show!
I Loved Mike on the Show with Dale
I Think he added so must to the Show
I hate to see him go But I Understand
I felt like the dynamic between Jr and Mike is what made the show fun to watch. But like anything in life, you have to know when to move on.
I enjoyed the show much more with Mike on it. Haven't watched it much since he left.
I watched the show for mike. I hope I can see him regularly somehow elsewhere👍
I’ll take his place!
It's not me, it's you, type stuff
Not gonna miss him.
Very adult business decision!! Kudo’s to Mike !!
You the man
I like the new direction of the show. People tune in for Dale Jr., and at times Mike was good for an episode and at tines, he was just sitting in his chair.
I miss the old Download with Mike and Zarzour.
He did a great job on the show.
Alot of people are leaving Nascar
He's not the only one
Personally, I think the download isn’t the same without him. He and Jr were better together. I’ve not been able to listen as much since he left.
Mike is doing good. Kelly and Amy took Mikes place.and do a great job.
Thanks I am learning from you
I miss Mike on the show. I feel like he added a lot to it.
Mike is the kind of guy that would help you figure out Laquisha's number
🤔 Ed McMahon ran out of purpose long before he retired. Lost time can never be found 👍
I just think Mike tried too hard sometimes…. And he was ok…. but at times I just wanted him to be quiet.
I’m now a rare listener of djd since Mike isn’t cohosting. People bitching directly about Mike is why. is he better asset now very possibly , but I have enjoyed Mike since the JRM360 days.
I’m calling bullshit. Something else had to happen him and Dale Junior boys they’ll never discuss it. We will never know.
Mike was great on the show, his presence is missed imo
Basically he doesn’t want to be complacent with his situation
That’s what makes him successful
That’s it
Maybe a Kenny and Mike show.......We miss you Mike.......
