Sorry bro but honestly think about it. If all the banks, politicians, corporations, armies are aware of this and letting it happen, it’s because they know it’s gonna happen.
The consumers and citizens of the world aren’t gonna do anything because there is no alternative society. No one with their flags are gonna stop a total society monetary shift.
They’ve conditioned people to accept it. People stopped owning music a like time ago , physically, then movies went steaming, then streamers and channels (working from home) is the norm. Then every app you ever use sells your info. All your social activity is logged online.
They want a cashless society which is being implemented to right now, so if you anger anyone, you’re money isn’t available. And what if you have money and all you can do is rent anyways? What’s your money good for.
Who can stop all that? I believe in Jesus so this stuff was bound to get here , but things get worse before they get good. Humanity is a sinking ship .
Sorry to be bleak but good wins ultimately and there is nothing to worry about if your with God, otherwise, there is no salvation coming from anywhere else.
They own the world for now. We got the prophecy though , we know who wins and what it’s all about .

9:39 Its a similar reason why I value hardware equipment as a producer. I saw what Waves did with their subscription model in early 2023, and it made me look at virtual plugins as something I'm renting, not owning. I have since invested in old-school samplers and tape machines to get that gritty sound I love. The best part is that no company can take those away. Here's a video that really sparked that belief for me. It goes beyond music and talks about cameras, typewriters, etc:

I produce positive music and had started gaining traction due to a few listening parties and hastaging everything. 1.5 million streams for something positive and then boom, removed no warning, no nothing. Who has the capitol to fake streams other than the industry? Independent artist are gaining traction and the industry doesn't want to compete. Physical media on the way!

If they said "We wont pay you till what we owe you reaches a certain dollar amount." Rather than saying "You need to have so many monthly listeners or we won't pay you." That could at least be somewhat understandable, still kind of shady due to the interest they would make off of you for holding your payout, but it is 100% indefensible to not pay out artist what so ever!

@@snapkrr companies have to pay for licensing yet the issue is Spotify taking profits from artists to pay people like joe rogan. Mind you that other expenses are at play as well like employees, server, app development or management, taxes, etc. Financially it looks good on paper but they are literally horrible of financial development in areas they should be focused on. If they was to increase the overhead and market share pay the artists first that alone is better than what rogan can bring in. Happy artists would equal more free promotion for the company yet atp no artist wants to deal with a company who doesn't have us in it's best interest.

Now granted these distribution companies I’ve listed for the most part will not work with just anyone. Even with that said these are the distribution services artists should be working towards doing business with. Now you aren’t going to get 100% of your royalties most of these are 90/10 or 85/15 deals. But guess what you get label managers and actual humans to work with when you have issues. Moral to the story leave distrokid, tunecore and all these low level distributors.

I’m definitely f*cking with direct to consumer content. I think the biggest thing with consumers and streaming platforms is the convenience and ease of use.
How do we as artists allow our fans to experience our content in a streamline way the both convenient and easy to use?

Yeah I still have my vinyl from the 1990s (some of it going back decades before that), it has outlived the 10 or so harddrive crashes I have had over the years. And it will probably outlive my canceling from the cloud when the powers that be no longer deem me a legitimate accessor of the internet due to not serving their intentions. The only vinyl acetate that didn't survive sadly was one that was from the 1920's or 1930s and shattered when it was dropped. Be careful if you are buying shellac records. I also think vinyl is more survivable than CD but doesn't have the same fidelity. Generally 78s are made of a brittle material which uses a shellac resin (thus their other name is shellac records). During and after World War II when shellac supplies were extremely limited, some 78 rpm records were pressed in vinyl instead of shellac (wax), particularly the six-minute 12" 78 rpm records

All of us are driven by the major record labels. This is the way of removing the competition. Which is the fear that independent artists had when Spotify announced those changes last year. Even a prominent player at Disc Makers who had a video on TH-cam urging artists to fight back by contacting Congress and their distributors. On that video I told him that the distributors will not have our back and this shows it.

Strong arming and controlling promotion of all artist must be the new trend from labels and Spotify. I don’t think CD is the answer because of how obsolete CD players are. I think we need a new media designed and used for artist only. Don’t let major labels use it. This would give exclusivity to artist and independents. I don’t exactly know how yet but it needs to be done.

Tidal does a better job of getting new music to consumers.

spotify probably gets paid by shopify to drive artist customers to their services regardless of whether you make profit or not

We can't even call this unfair anymore... This it out right theft... $500k gone in one weekend... Somebody tell me tell me bandcamp is still for the artists... Because at this rate, we'll have to do it ol' school

It is for the most part, but bear in mind I'm speaking as a consumer who's supported hella artists there for the past decade.

I wonder, if the DSPs are broke, have they created an algorithm. That keys in on Artists that they're gonna have to pay in the future more than they would like. So the Artists get flagged and one they are about to reach the threshold for the Big Payout. They get Censored for Bot Activity.?

Yeah cuz everyone knows DSPs steal the money that’s the whole business

You need to launch a Boycott Tunecore campaign asap. These people needs to be held accountable for their lack of accountability. The least they could have done is warn the client beforehand!
Why aren't more TH-camrs and podcasters talking about this?? Benn Jordan should try to get on Joe Rogan, Tim Dillon, Joe Budden, Breaking Points or some other show with a big audience.

Whatever it is, someone is botting. Whether thats spotify, the playlist curators, and/or the artist themselves. Maybe a combination of. We know alot of playlist curators bot so be careful of that. Recently, they find spotify may bot too. Artist themselves may be knowingly paying for botting services (seems a minority though). IMO I think its a combination of spotify botting themselves and artist not knowingly getting their plays botted from the playlist curators they send their song(s) to.

Not sure if the platform needs to bot themselves, they could just made up the numbers

    • @Dihmarko
      @Dihmarko 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Spotify doesn't want the indies to bot because then it's less money for the majors, botting doesn't cost Spotify more it just changes how the money is divided. Most bot streams are from Premium accounts . Spotify doesn't remove music ,it's the distributors.
