@@Speedy.Tastro An AirDesign Vivo, which I love - I've long been considering attending a summertime Speedflying School course, and your video may have pushed me over the edge :)
@@andrewadventures1 Haha, it's definiely fun and not as hard as you may think. Because it's so easy at the beginning the danger is just too feel like superman after two flights. With the new Flare wings the safety has definitely increased. But start with a school please! It's not a trial and error thing 😀. In Europe I can recommend @speedflyingschool in Interlaken.
They say you should compare it to a Speedflying wing with like 2sqm less. So here that would be a Mirage 13 for example. However the range that a Flare Line offers is just hardly comparable. With a Line 11 I can fly almost in parallel to a R3 13 but if I want I am way quicker than a Spitfire 11.
Didn't measure it but I assume somewhat around 50-60 kph / 35 mph. Topspeed I had measured with this wing: th-cam.com/users/shorts9d8h3faiA2U?feature=share once was 120 kph / 75mph
Wow! Is this legal at kronplatz or you need to ask permission? I dont know the wing but is there a way to abort or make the impact less fast if you got yourself in a miscalculated no way out situation? Or can you always fly over it, by pulling brakes?
Yes it's perfectly legal to fly there. Kronplatz is famous in the speedflying community for being an amazing place and also "actively" allowing it. If you go there on a good day in fall, you will see many speedflyers. This is a Flare Line by Flare. Similarly to the moustache you can pull and you go up. 🙂 - So it's much safer that normal speedwings. Really continuing the revolution they promised us. In this video it's a prototype. You can see the final design here: th-cam.com/users/shortsmkQlchHCOtk?feature=share - Do you fly as well a speedwing?
Maybe 75 take-off weight. Pilot, wing, clothes, harness all included. I fly the 11 now, felt somehow more natural to me. For flater lines I prefer the M13

It's the "Line" size: 15 sqm. It was a Prototype back than. Flare (same company who build the moustache) has released it in late Dec 23. It's a pure speedwing, while the moustache was more a soaring wing, but it uses the same technology / idea as the moustache. I guess you could call it his little but quicker brother. Beautiful flight & music! Makes the flight more relaxing to watch and you see the beauty of it more than the crazy part, well done brother!
Thank you - glad you see it the same :-)
Randomly found this scrolling. Watched to the end. F*ckin amazing!

Haha, it's not something limited to rare talent. It's really something you can learn as well. Just get a professional instructor.

Beautiful route and nice flying! Probably time for me to get a smaller wing…
