    thank a lot mate, It is exactly what happens to my battery and no one explains it so clearly and simply. In fact, the title of the video or article is failures of the bms and they end up explaining the theory of relativity.

    Thank you for showing me how to read each set of cells & their voltages via the BMS with volt meter probes!
    I must have toasted the BMS when I shorted live wire on power cable on positive terminal of cell group 5... Thankfully I have another BMS to swap... 🤷‍♂️

    Better to keep one probe on N and move one probe and look for increase in increments of circa 4v. Less chance of the unpracticed hand shorting out between probe tips

    i've tryed to upgrade a ridgid's battery pack by 2200mah to about 6700mah 18650 panasonic ncr18650, (2 pair for 5 in series), when i started to use a brushless drill i've
    had no problem when tryed a brushed tools the same battery pack stopped to work. To enable the battery i insert into owner charger and all back like before, what i have to think bms problem with the brushed tool
    Thank you vey much

    Nothing wrong with BMS, it's a protection circuit. BMS triggers when plugin charge 1st time.

    Hey I have a 48v 13ah battery that won't power my bike , What do I do if my discharge ports are reading 21.4v but my battery charging port reads 53.4v and one cell group is drop down to 3.7v

    I just installed a brand new bms on my 48 volt 13s pack, before I installed the bms, I brought all the 18650's up to 4.1 volts. I went to charge it tonight with the new bms, using one of the Luna chargers set at 100% at 3 amps. After quite some time charging, the lcd on the charger said 53.3 volts and as I was watching it all of a sudden I heard click and the charger said 54.6 volts and shut off. I checked the voltage at the charging port and it was at 53.3 volts. But I checked the battery voltage at the main output leads, and the battery was sitting at 54.0 volts!? What's going on???

    What would you think is wrong if one bank is reading low (2.4v)

    • @TheBigwesb
      @TheBigwesb 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Late reply fella but check each cell in that bank as sounds like 1 has dropped too low. Will have to disconnect the problem cell & trickle charge it to around 4v using a ecig battery charger then when done add it back to the pack.

    Dude, did you actually say why and how it was the bms that was faulty?
    Cheers Stevie.

    I have a question. Is there a trick to testing each series without accidentally touching 2 of them at the same time with the one probe? Last time, I must had about 5 arcs that way. My battery isn't a Luna cycle pack and my bms has those pins packed so close together. Any tips?

    So, testing the cell bank voltages, then the overall battery voltage proves a working BMS then ? simples.
