The slim armor pro with full hinge protection is worth it I drop my fold 3 a few times and the case did it job I just need a new screen protector for the outer screen which trying to find one that work with a case is hard to do but the then that love this case
@@cellaa70 I dropped my fold 3 for the 1st time and I also had to remove my front screen protector but my case also broke... im a lil pissed for a 80 dollar case and mine broke after one drop... however my phone does not have a scratch...
@@edgallagher8099 that must of been one hell of a drop my case is still good but even if it broke all long as my fold 3 still work and looks new I'll just get another case from spigen again yes $80. for a case is a lot but it's nothing when it come to protecting the fold 3 money well spent but no matter what case you use don't use the glue strips above the volume button it will pull off the 5g cover just a heads up I learn the hard way
Spigen cases for the Z fold 3 are some of the cheapest looking/made cases I’ve ever seen from spigen and I’ve been a long time customer. I have the air fit and feel like it shouldn’t have cost more than $10. Just like spigen cases usually cost. I’m glad I ordered the Samsung cases with my free credit since they seem to have better quality and no need for so many adhesives.
Yeah I was quite shocked at these cases as, like you, I've used Spigen cases for years. And on the other hand I've bee nreally impressed witht he quality of the Samsung ones this year so will be sticking with official cases for sure 👍
Good review! I'm a long time Spigen case user and unfortunately, I purchased the Tough Armor and the Thin Armor Pro already. I'll try them when they arrive but, frankly, I've yet to see any case that works well with folding phones. But at $2K after taxes, I'm not about to use my Z Fold naked. Another TH-camr went thru all of the Sammy cases and came to the same conclusion - nothing really does the Fold justice...
Thanks for watching! Yeah you never know, you might have some better luck than I but, also being a long-term Spigen user (since the S6), I was very disappointed with these cases. I also checked out the official Samsung cases (th-cam.com/video/RCnwCm4w-1g/w-d-xo.html) and was much more impressed with them in comparison. I'm currently using the Aramid which I think it pretty much perfect for general use and the leather flip for "I'm taking my phone out somewhere more dangerous if it drops".
The slim armor pro gives your phone a lot of protection and not really that bulky. The Samsung cases are way to flimsy, looks good but offering no real protection. Slim armor pro gives you confidence that if you dropped your phone it would survive in its entirety.
@@demontejn The Tough Armor is my permanent case now. It lays perfectly flat, which means a lot to a diehard Note user! Some folks complain that the hinge cover doesn't always slide correctly into the back side of the case. I just guide the cover with my hands while opening the phone. Doing that quickly became second nature. Also, the complaint about the lip on the front screen being so high and thick that it prevents the user from accessing functions on the screen are specious. Maybe they didn't RTFM before applying the sticky tape. I followed the directions and haven't found anything that I can't do. I still use my N20U because I'm too lazy to port the Google Authenticator to my Z Fold. I have almost 30 apps that require 2FA. But now that Samy FINALLY delivered my S Pen Pro, I've settled into my Fold. If you like the Slim Armor Pro, I'll sell you mine for $60. It's brand new, never been used.
Good video, but next time don't remove the adhesive backing on the cases of your just gonna take it off to try the next one. And FYI there been issues with the adhesive breaking off the 5g antenna covering when people try to take off the case.
I have the slim armor pro and it works great. Yes, the case is expensive but it protects the entire phone. My concern is will the adhesives damage the phone when taking the case off? No one shows how to remove the case as that would be helpful. Good review thanks for all the info.
I had no issues at all removing any of the cases (or I'd have shown the result on camera). I've also heard people say they've ripped their antennas off and all sorts but not sure how that would be possible personally. As long as you're careful with your device I can't see how there would be a problem.
Thanks For saveing me the money on the slim pro case. had spigen on all my pixels over the last 5 years and they are great but they have defs dropped there game on this case
Thanks for the thorough review, well that was somewhat disappointing with these Spigen cases. I've ordered both the official Samsung silicon and leather cases after watching your other review. I think I might have made the right decision after all compare to these ones.
Very disappointing indeed! I've never had a bad experience with Spigen until now so it was a bit of a shock. It does make me appreciate the official Samsung covers more than anything now - even if they are a bit expensive!
I bought the armour case and used 10 minutes before throwing it in the garbage. The case covers part of the front screen so you cant even use a keyboard. You should check this on future reviews.
I'm leaning on getting the expensive one tomorrow because I need what is essentially a god damn tank. If you have any other alternatives please let me know 🙏 It's going to be used in an industrial environment for roughly a year or so. 👀
Dude, I am using the thin fit, but I think it is nice though, coz the holes are perfectly fit to the phone itself. does the spigen get different factories? I have the s-pen flip cover from Samsung also, a good one but not easy for daily use.
Did u ever get the spigen neo hybrid s in?? It's pretty cool, I'm using it now with ringke pen holders. I know it's been a while so I figure u did by now. I'm gonna drop a short of what it's like though. Check it out if u get time
Very disappointing. I was going to order one of the Spigen cases for my fold 3. Thanks to your video I am still looking. Any suggestions for the case besides the samsung official cases?
Unless none of the Samsung cases appeal to you I'd definitely go for an official one for the Fold 3. I've never had a problem with Spigen until the Fold 3 so it's a bit of a surprise. Not sure on other manufacturers as I only ever check the official and Spigen ones...
I've never seen someone have such bad luck when it comes to Spigen cases. Lol... I can't share I've had that same luck when it comes to their cases. I have no issues with the tough armor. Sorry to see every case you tried was defective essentially.
Lol yeah, likewise - I've never had issues with Spigen until the Fold 😅 Hopefully it was just a dodgy batch or something but that seems unlikely in my opinion.
It is possible - just carefully push it off from each corner. It is a bit stiff but will come off OK. Sometimes doing it from near the fold itself helps too.
@@AndroidAddicts I ended up using a driver's license to get between the case and the phone. It worked...but the case stuck to the 5g antenna and ripped the cover off of it. Lol. It was just plastic that was glued on. I just stuck it back on. Still getting 1300Mbps down on the 5g ultrawide. Highly debating rolling caseless, this phone is so amazingly sexy without that brick on it.
@Jimbo I wanted to take it off because it was too bulky for my liking liking. II also saw that Dust, debris was getting trapped under the Hinge protector Thus making it kind of useless. Basically too heavy and too bulky for what it was. I ended up going with the spigen air. I dropped the phone 3 times. The air eventually cracked but the phone was fine (small dents on the hinge.) I am now using the aramid case.
@ Android Addict you wouldn't happen to know what screen protector works best with a case like the slim armor pro with hinge my outer screen protector is starting to come up and bubble up now from dropping my fold 3

You obviously didn't watch the start of the video (00:58) 😜 The UK Spigen site (www.keepincase.com/) STILL doesn't have the Fold 3 listed so I can't list the official UK RRP as there isn't one!
@@AndroidAddicts hi there mate. I did actually watch the full video from start to finish and I thought it was a great video very informative and I will be subscribing to your channel but what I said still stands. It would of been better if you quoted both us dollars and UK pounds price by using the current exchange rates at the time of the video but also I know I could easily do the same myself and I also know that when spigen release the uk prices they might not be a direct exchange rate price. Sorry for my blunt comment earlier but thank you for replying. And personally for my fold 3 I went for the official Samsung silicone case for its compactness and matching colour.
Haha no worries. The most frustrating part is that Spigen UK are SO behind in terms of customer service and their website - it's embarrassing. For example, they're were still advertising 'the new S21 and Note 20' up until recently - but as soon as the iPhone 13 comes out they update the site instantly. I could have converted the US price to GBP but sadly it doesn't work like that as we always get tax and more added on to our prices. Every other case video I've done has had the GBP price in except for the Fold 3 and Flip 3 videos where Spigen have really dropped the ball. Anyway thanks for watching and I think you made a good choice with the official Samsung cases which I think are actually really the best option for the Fold 3 and Flip 3 this year.
If you only watch one part of this video, make sure it's the review of the Thin Fit case 😡😅
Be Mindful Of Putting ADHESIVE STRIP In Top Right Corner Above Volume Up As Thats Where The 5G ANTENNA IS - Just Dont Put ADHESIVE ThereAt All
