I love how Logan (I have Caleb and Logan mixed up) is always so obsessed with Cady, and Caleb is like the older, mature, loving brother. And Timmy is just Timmy. I think the reason Cady doesn't remember most of the things is because her thoughts used to be in Bengali, and now she is starting to think in English, thus overwriting many of the thoughts and not being able to recollect them. So she can recollect significant emotional memories (like getting the shot), but especially when you ask, "what were you thinking at this time", she can't recall it.

Guess I'm not going to uni tomorrow😅 Your story is so inspiring, and I'm so glad you chose to document the process! People often overlook India when considering international adoptions - most probably because of the lengthy process and all the paperwork and everything - but it is so SO important to bring awareness to the unfair treatment of girls in India! The sad reality is that many girls are abandoned or sometimes even killed as infants in India, simply because they are girls! Some people in India don't want to have girls because of the dowry they will eventually have to pay at the girl child's wedding -- which is why they would abandon or kill the girl child (which is absolutely horrifying). Thank YOU, Michael, Melanie, Caleb, Logan and Timmy - as well as the rest of your family - for giving Cadence another chance at life. To see her so genuinely happy and comfortable in her American home that makes my heart happy. I think I fell in love with your channel because Cadence reminds me of myself! Haha I looked just like her when I moved from Mumbai, India to Toronto, Canada in 2005. (Also, my mother is from Kolkata!!) I remember being very intimidated by the cultural differences & the "stylish" accents & everything when I first moved to Canada. I didn't talk to foreigners too much until I went to middle school! I'm sure Cadence's brothers are hugely contributing when it comes to getting her adjusted. She is very VERY brave for such a young girl and I can see in her eyes how grateful she is and how much she loves her family. Fun fact: I ended up taking Hindi as a second language in high school, just so that I could stay connected with my roots. Really helped me, I still feel a great connection with India! I visited India last December, 12 years later, and it was absolutely beautiful & my Hindi skills sure helped! Be sure to grab the opportunity for Cadence to learn Hindi/Bengali at high school if it ever comes up (the IB curriculum offers it). We would all LOVE to see your family of 6 visit India. I just realized why she took off her socks! She saw that her brothers were barefoot and I suppose she thought that's how it's supposed to be in her new household! How freaking cute!!!!
