Good playthrough.
I think you forgot about the First Player Token rule though. At the end of every round you move the First Player token clockwise to the next player and for the next round they become the first player. So in your two-player game you essentially get two turns in a row. I think that's supposed to help balance out the advantage you get from going first.

Oh - I just read the rules. I get it now. The tree is bigger, so it gets sun "above" the shadow of the smaller tree.

At 10:19 you're not able to activate the same space twice (growing from seed to small tree then producing another seed)
