Great to see Gary Wilson ascend to the top, he is truly a fantastic and intelligent player although perhaps not the most consistent. Some of your other videos of Gary doing incredible snooker escapes made me an instant fan of him. He deserves to feel confident in himself, especially with some of the mental struggles he's talked about having in years prior.

This was a very heavy table! Ronnie was talking about it to Gerry, though he refused but when he missed the corner pocket ball with the wrist he understood the table is not at all helping with the angles or pace. Much tough game...needs a man to move those balls every time.

This is the the best I've seen Gary Wilson play I think, I admit I've not seen much of him.
But he was skipping round the table and slamming the balls in with complete authority; a couple of flyers that seemed to boggle his head temporarily in the second to last frame, but he sealed the match with a great break. Good for him 👍
Gary Wilson may not be ranked as high as Ronnie but, as any of the top pros will tell you, anyone in the Top 16 and even Top 20 can beat any opponent on a given day. Gary's career is only about 12 years and he's worth North of 3 million pounds so, he's doing more than okay.Gary can be any players nightmare when he's on his game. Don't cut him short.

Not one of Ronnie's best display's but a good match over all. For someone to be coached by P Ebdon, Gary sure does not play like him. Glad he got a bit of silverware for himself. ☘
