Yeah calls lorelai for help with his daughter when it suits him. He couldn't careless about lorelai's feelings. Luke became a jerk after April came into his life even though April had no issues with lorelai but Anna and luke were just weird parents and very over protective. Sadly nothing changed in the revival. Lorelai and luke still sucked at communication and luke still kept lorelai at a distance when it came to April yet he's the one for her 🤷♀️🤦♀️
Ok I love how Luke went to the hospital with Lorelai when her dad was in the hospital, and Lorelai went to the hospital when April was in the hospital, and both times they weren't even dating.
I know some people would say after everything him going to Lorelai for help is a jerkish move but to me it proves he trusts her mothers instict and is more accepting of letting her in, he didnt hestiate a second to do it, this scene to me is a turning point saying he has really started to trust her with April and her wellbeing
Luke is a simple man (and a little small minded and a little old fashioned). while he didnt hesitate to say yes to marrying Lorelai, finding out he had a kid ontop of getting married- he didnt react well. Lor was his dream and he was so close to having everything he ever wanted. He got scared and pushed her away.
But he doesn't let her in.. in the revival he's still keeping lorelai at a distance so technically nothing changed between them. He's still a jerk...only thinks of lorelai when he needs her. What about when she wanted to be involved and get to know her step daughter?
He wants to prove himself to Anna as a perfect dad that can deal with April and the responsibilities that come with being a dad so he's hardly going to go to her in a panic mode is he? I think thats the reason he opts to seek help from lorelai but it's too bad it is always when he needs help and doesn't care about lorelai's feelings about being involved in April's life as her step mum
the fact he knows her number without having to think about it, despite everything he knows he can call her, they are truly meant to be!!! my heart truly breaks for Luke when he sees the ring. I love lorelai with my whole heart but marrying Christopher was the worst thing she ever did!!
I know! and I feel like both of them have this underlying knowledge that they aren't done and that there are feelings for each other there- love even- that has been pushed down but just seems to me so evident. it is there.
2:30 this moment broke me!!! i know luke had his faults but imagine finding out the love of your life got married to the guy she told you not to worry about, only a few months after you broke up
He calls her bc he knows she’s the best mom he knows and that she might be the only person he really trust on and then his face when he sees the ring… really those episodes are so heartbreaking… they’re and have always been meant to be together 🥺🥺💔💔💔
I really wish April had been more of bonding thing like we see here than the divide it became. I get that sometimes they have things like this to cause a character development but I really didn't see that happening after all is said and done. It felt more like just added to keep Luke and Lorelai apart rather than find ways they are still interesting as a couple.
Really great how he instantly calls her as soon as he learns something is wrong with April. He doesn’t know what’s wrong or what to do, so he calls her. Their current weirdness/estrangement doesn’t even come into his mind. And she in turn shows up to check on him in person, even though she’s married at this point (and we later see that she even told Chris where she was going). She must’ve felt extremely awkward, but just like him realized this was a situation that was more important. And man, his face when he sees the ring? Perfect acting.
Without even thinking a second he called her. She is his person
Yeahhhhhh!! She is his person😍
Lol except for when he found out he had a daughter in the first place

i love that sm too, they care so much for eachother and are always there for eachother even if their in a fight or just broke up

I agree. People are two much when they see something in the show.
@@Kashish4Eijaz no he isn't.
when luke's with april and doesn't know what to do (birthday party, appendicitis), his instinct is always to call lorelai EVEN over anna 🥺

The way he found out poor Luke
Not any worse then the way Lorelai find out about April. Poor Lorelai.
I love that they'll still do anything for each other, even on bad terms
The wedding ring...Luke's reaction 😌🙄💍💔

I love that his first instinct was to call Lorelai and her first instinct was to to check on Luke. This is the way it should've been in season 6.

It's so good to see they together. Even in this situation and just for a moment. But is already something💞
Not sure what is worse when Lor sleeps with Chris or marrying him lol
Both
Both she ended up regretting it later on
I honestly thought April had cramps.

Siempre piensas en la persona que más quieres cuando te suceden cosas...
Pretty impressive that lorelai said appendix right away. Unfortunately many people wouldnt.
00:26 Luke went towards the table to call Lorelai, but the phone is in his pocket, not on the table
And
thanks i hate it
