Nice bag and review, X. Personally I don't ruck often enough to justify the heavy pricetag on a camping style bag. I'll probably grab me a Ready Pack 3.0 at some point though. Seems great for general urban EDC and small day hikes. Nice to see their build quality and all the little touches. Thanks again!
I don’t own a Vertex so I really appreciate the review. I think it’s a win. My hubby and I go to a lot of music festivals and I think that would be perfect. Also for a go and get home. Marine X bringing it home again…I appreciate you ♥️
"Pound sand" - I like your style, Marine lol! --- These days, I never go anywhere without the ability to hit back if 'the bad guys' start doing their thing in my A.O. So, I find myself looking for more 'plain jane' looking bags and backpacks that, never the less, have more capability. Definitely gonna check this one out. Good review!
Appreciate the review man! I'm mostly interested in this bag for the molded base and few extra liters of space. The Gamut 3.0 is a super nice bag, but I hate that it wants to fall forward... So annoying. Second, it's a bit more challenging to organize without a dedicated admin panel. This is coming from someone who ran a 5.11 rush style bag for the last 6 years. They should have just called this bag the Gamut XL or Gamut Plus and kept the overall look basically identical to the Gamut - just scaled up. On the other hand, Vertx should improve the base of the Gamut line so that it will stand up on its own reliably when it's packed out.
I just got the navigator you sent out. That bag is awesome. I didn't know about all its features. I need to save up for the plates to upgrade it. It'll prob save my ass at work. Thanks, X. 🤙🏽
I love any bag that's a clamshell opening it's great you get to where you going to lay back down zip it up and you can just see everything everything in your bag and get what you need no searching at the bottom of bag jamming your arm down in the front of figure out what's what by the feel of it
Thanks for taking the time to make these. Overall great videos on this line. I am struggling to find an SBR bag that is not huge in volume. Need something that is like the Gamut (20-25Lish) that is a little taller to accommodate. Collapsed size is about 23" (with stock folded). Any thoughts welcome!
Would it be too big to use as a diaper bag/ccw 10.5 bag? I won’t be going to Starbucks alone with it but I need something for when I’m with the kids. I can’t decide between this or the gamut.
I am pretty late on this but does anyone use this as a carry-on bag? My old 5.11 is falling apart and I am worried this might be too big for a carry on. It meets TSA spec minus a half inch in length but I'm not sure how practical it is. I usually try to travel for work with a couple days worth of clothes and avoid a check bag or anything that requires the dreaded gate check bag.
I'm wondering the same thing! Google tells me most airlines carry on dimensions are 22 in x 14 in x 9 in. This bag is 24.5 x 13 x 8.5. So it's taller and slimmer, but who knows when it gets stuffed full of things. I'd love a comparison of this bag vs the Overlander
Did you guys ever find out about this? I got this wanting to use it for traveling but I think it’s too big and the airline might call me out if I try to use it as a personal item and stow below my seat. Does anyone use this as a personal item and stow it under the seat on flights?
Hi, I own Gamut 2.0, looked though 3.0 version on Vertx website and I sure that I am not going to switch to new one. Outside waterbottle pockets have been removed, and now they are placed instead side organisers, which is downside. Front panel used to be expandable, so if you need to feet something off-shape you were welcome, now it is mostly for flat items, which is also downside. I can't say how I feel about inside changes - new done slightly different, and if you already spend money for velcro pauches it might be good. Detacheble zipper-pool - such a great improvement of the ages (ha-ha joking), actually on my 2.0 I just cut it and put big paper clip insted. Probably new back is going to be more breathable, so it could be greate. And it looks like it is slightly bigger, but now bottles eat space. So may be it would be greate idea to switch from Gamut 2.0 to Basecamp 3.0 and compensate lost orgamisation by inside pauches.
As much as I love my EDC and Gamut 2.0s, I'd love to see Vertx do something new and different again, not bigger or smaller or updated. Also most people I see and me myself, use anything but the tactigami gear with it, I think it sucks. Great video and channel by the way.
Overland is the only bag that has comfortable shoulder straps from Vertx and I carry it everywhere! I can put so much shit inside and then some. I am 5 ft 10, if you're shorter than me, then I can see how big this bag is for shorter people.
Behind the molle panel, at the bottom, is a pocket. You can open that and stuff the front panel in there to expose the molle completely and securely.
Never used the bag, holy fuck. Open plastic, take out bag. Video tape review.

I’m completely with you on bags that won’t stand up right. Especially as a truck driver, this kills me

Hell yeah. Glad it made it
“If I mispronounce that, pound sand!” 😂😂😂 love it! Thanks for the review and info…Great-looking content!

I somewhat like it. Nice video bro!

Any luck ?
@@jordanrussell5249I did end up with the Gamut. It’s a really great bag and accommodates my SBR, minus the can. But it’s a quick thread on.
I should have never watched this because now I have to get me one. Love the bag. Great review.
Rangers clear the way
Charles ❤️
Second time watching this, got Brandon to watch it on his live. Great looking bag X, I'd use it for family hiking. Tons of room and well made ✊✊
Thanks brother
Great review again, the price is kinda high but I might consider getting this bag.
Thank you for the video!!! I got it for my sbr, it fits great!
Hope that you are yours are safe in your Nader shelter. Prayers for everyone in the HouTX area.

I'll review the 3.0 for you.
Comin back with another video and laying down the sauce!
Great content!

What sucks about Tactigami?

I haven’t even watched yet but…I know you love it 🥰
I liked it too 😂
In your opinion, could you run a collapsible truck 🔫🔫weapon
Bro how about that flannel looks sweet what brand
Field and stream brother
Still no nalgeens fitting in their bottle pouches is a no go for me.
I have one. I should try it
Well just my opinion and don't offended but anybody who buys water bottles when you get a free one from Gatorade is beyond me reuse repurpose
@@irmuggle and that’s your opinion. Not a good one but yours to have
If that hydro flask he put in there fits then a Nalgene will
