That Erron Black fatal gets a 10/10 from me. Great cinematic flourish, heavy impact, and shows off his godly accuracy. Probably one of my favorites alongside Kabal's and especially Jacqui's.

Kabals was very underrated the quick swipes leading Into the hook in the stomach from both blades just to rip it out, followed by the chin hooked through the mouth, I would give it a 8.
I just love the beats of it. A lot of the fatal blows has some sort of wind up or pause between one blow and another, but his is just nonstop blow after blow. Very fitting for his character.

I love Sub's just for the fact that when he drags the second axe, there's obvious signs of struggle from Sub's end. Its not just a clean cut, but him pulling harder to get the axe back to him.
"The turret makes it for Sonya" Am i the only one who thought that the huge emphasis on the military drones in both MKX and 11 only took away from Sonya's coolness rather than added to it? Also something i felt about a lot of these is that they aren't characterized enough. Scorpion has zero flames in it, Sub-Zero just hacks at you with axes instead of doing anything freeze-wise, Jade doesn't use her staff, and i could probably go on.
I was so disappointed when MKX came out and Sonya had less gymnast moves like her cartwheel in MK9. Also, I really liked when she used her pink powder. Where did that go?

He does this because youtube will either take down the video or block it from being viewed in some countries for featuring graphic content. You'll also see monochromatic filters during fatal blows and fatalities to censor red blood for that reason, but if he can help it he'll instead use D'vorah or Noob Saibot as punching bags because they have abnormal blood color.

Jax is just a 10/10 in general in MK11. His Fatal Blow is amazing, both of his Fatalities are amazing, he has great moments in the story... Jax got the best treatment in this game.

While I will agree that kabals is on the same level as Kano (they both very well represent their characters) theres a big difference between kollector's and kitanas. Kollector's uses almost all of his abilities and tbh stabs you a shit ton with 4 knives which is dope, Contrasting with kitanas where the only real part I personally like is the first hit. After that is wonky physics and they definitely could've gotten more creative. Like show some wind powers with the fans or something
Did you really gave Scarlett a 7? Is the most unique and brutal. Transforming your blood into weapons to spill more blood to make more weapons. She is the only character in the game that can actually pull the Fatal Blow she makes. Scarlett is 10/10
Kano's is my favourite. It's so brutal, and the knife he uses to stab you in the beggining stays there and he uses it multiple times. And the thing is just well paced and very brutal.
12:12 Man, Erron's was a 10 for sure. It didn't drag on too long, it was creative, used the strengths of the character, was clearly painful, and unique too. No idea what else could be a 10 imo!
So I actually winced at the end of the Kano one and I tried to figure out why since I never react so strongly to the combat. I rewatched it and I noticed how low the angle is when he’s doing the stepping, which is the angle DeVorah would’ve seen it at. So perhaps you subconsciously feel the feelings of the character whose perspective matches the camera’s the most? I learned something today. Edit: SAME EXACT THING happened with kotal Kahn’s final hit with the box. The perspective showed how big it was and it made me lean forward a bit and wince when the hit came.
Jax`s whole "punchypunchypunchy blows" wins the whole thing for me, I mean sure there are no brains flying about, but you can only imagine how much of them are really left inside. I mean imagine, one of Tyson`s real life blows can give you brain damage, imagine Jax`s iron fists.

will leese I know there were like 3 or 4 exceptions, but it doesn’t change the overall purpose of my statement. For most of these “ratings” videos the scores are very minimal in difference. I get that they don’t matter, but it would be nice to see a scale where 5 is the average and there’s more variety in ratings, kind of like with SugarPunch’s rating system for Astral Finishes. I still love watching Max rate stuff, it’s just the only annoyance I find in his videos.
@@Mito383 The point isn't to rank them to show people which are the best to worst in the game, it's a rating of how much they enjoy them. If all of the supers in a game were really good, they would give all of them 8 to 10 ratings to show that they think all of the super were done really well. In a different game, like MK vs DC, where most of the supers suck, they will give many ratings below 5. When Max says that the scores are unrelated to ones they gave on previous games, he doesn't mean that each game will have a ranking of supers ranging from 1 to 10 based only on other supers in that game, just that context is put into consideration for each game's ratings, acknowledging limitations such as older graphics and order of release. Scorpion's fire breath fatal from MK1 might get a 7, but the same fatal in MKX might only be a 5 because it's unoriginal and newer hardware allows for more interesting possibilities that could have been done instead. A well done super will always get a high score, even if the other supers in the game are also done well. That makes the most sense to me for a rating system like this. You get to see their hype and disappointment through the number ratings, not a calculated ranking of worst to best.
I really appreciate taking the risk and not going with the monotone safety filter for this particular kind of video. I get our punishment target bleeds cool blue gatorade, but all the same. Quality over monetization is a noble cause, Max, and I appreciate how much you very clearly care about your viewers. Just wanted to speak my mind. Shine on!
How come nobody noticed the Kollector is basically the Hunter Chosen from Xcom 2 War Of The Chosen just with 2 additional arms. Like the end of his xray as he slits your throat is 100% the Hunters smile lol.

I really dont get the love for jacquis fatal blow. Might be bias because ive hated everything about her since she came out in X, being the most boring and bland and uninteresting character rivaling the likes of Dairou and Darrius. But her fatal is just.. Meh. Personally my favorite fatals in this are jax and kung lao. Jax has so much impact and oomph and just overall feels so hype and badass Kungs for the high speed ip man style punches looks so cool, and the victims facial expressions when theyre being grinded by the hat look so realistic

But if you swap the dragon and the punch then you don't get a punch that can put out fires

Kano's is way more unique than Kabal's Kabal's is honestly pretty generic.
While I will agree that kabals is on the same level as Kano (they both very well represent their characters) theres a big difference between kollector's and kitanas. Kollector's uses almost all of his abilities and tbh stabs you a shit ton with 4 knives which is dope, Contrasting with kitanas where the only real part I personally like is the first hit. After that is wonky physics and they definitely could've gotten more creative. Like show some wind powers with the fans or something

Did you really gave Scarlett a 7? Is the most unique and brutal. Transforming your blood into weapons to spill more blood to make more weapons. She is the only character in the game that can actually pull the Fatal Blow she makes. Scarlett is 10/10

Kano's is my favourite. It's so brutal, and the knife he uses to stab you in the beggining stays there and he uses it multiple times. And the thing is just well paced and very brutal.
Skarlets a 10/10, easily one of the best.
The way she pulls the blood out to create a scythe and then sweeps it fluidly back into them is so fucking sick.

So I actually winced at the end of the Kano one and I tried to figure out why since I never react so strongly to the combat. I rewatched it and I noticed how low the angle is when he’s doing the stepping, which is the angle DeVorah would’ve seen it at.
So perhaps you subconsciously feel the feelings of the character whose perspective matches the camera’s the most? I learned something today.
Edit: SAME EXACT THING happened with kotal Kahn’s final hit with the box. The perspective showed how big it was and it made me lean forward a bit and wince when the hit came.

at worst the fatal blows are ok, while at best they are really good, there arent any bad ones
will leese I know there were like 3 or 4 exceptions, but it doesn’t change the overall purpose of my statement. For most of these “ratings” videos the scores are very minimal in difference.
I get that they don’t matter, but it would be nice to see a scale where 5 is the average and there’s more variety in ratings, kind of like with SugarPunch’s rating system for Astral Finishes.
I still love watching Max rate stuff, it’s just the only annoyance I find in his videos.
@@Mito383 The point isn't to rank them to show people which are the best to worst in the game, it's a rating of how much they enjoy them. If all of the supers in a game were really good, they would give all of them 8 to 10 ratings to show that they think all of the super were done really well. In a different game, like MK vs DC, where most of the supers suck, they will give many ratings below 5. When Max says that the scores are unrelated to ones they gave on previous games, he doesn't mean that each game will have a ranking of supers ranging from 1 to 10 based only on other supers in that game, just that context is put into consideration for each game's ratings, acknowledging limitations such as older graphics and order of release. Scorpion's fire breath fatal from MK1 might get a 7, but the same fatal in MKX might only be a 5 because it's unoriginal and newer hardware allows for more interesting possibilities that could have been done instead. A well done super will always get a high score, even if the other supers in the game are also done well. That makes the most sense to me for a rating system like this. You get to see their hype and disappointment through the number ratings, not a calculated ranking of worst to best.

I really dont get the love for jacquis fatal blow. Might be bias because ive hated everything about her since she came out in X, being the most boring and bland and uninteresting character rivaling the likes of Dairou and Darrius. But her fatal is just.. Meh.
Personally my favorite fatals in this are jax and kung lao.
Jax has so much impact and oomph and just overall feels so hype and badass
Kungs for the high speed ip man style punches looks so cool, and the victims facial expressions when theyre being grinded by the hat look so realistic
