    Hi @hotdogsoup-nl
    I hope firstly that you are well and that you see this message.
    I was so shocked and surprised to come across this video
    I am the 14 now turned 54 year old Ian McTavish who wrote and sent off this game to Sinclair Programs with little hope it would be published.
    At the time I was delighted to get the £50 for program of the month and my picture in the magazine to make my own mum proud.
    But I am even more amazed to find your post about it after all these years.
    Your words at the end about being an inspiration and part of setting you down a path were so very kind and have made my day/week/month/year/decade :)

      Hi I wonder was the name of the game inspired by "Dot and the Kangaroo"? A famous Australian children book from 1899, which was adapted to a film in 1977..

    I know Ian McTavish. He was my brother best mate growing up. My sister is still best friends with his sister. He is definitely still with us and now lives in South Wales, I believe.

    I remember this game, and at the time after typing it in my spectrum, I used the framework to program a 20 level game called Bouncing Billy making a few modifications, looked through my attic and found the saved cassette with this program on, I managed to convert it to a wav format and load it up on the FUSE spectrum emulator on my pc, great memories 👍🏻

    Hello Martin. Just discovering your channel. I know this is an old video, but do you know where I can download the actual ZX Spectrum version of this game (preferbaly in cassette format (TAP or TZX.) Subbed as soon as I saw your channel about the "Pregnant Calculator!" Thank you.

    Where can I find the original source code? Looks like nice little program to practice for making ports.

    Nice video! Is it doable to create the old boulder dash game? And can't u udr chatGPT to translate Objective C to something android compatible?

    • @hotdogsoup-nl
      @hotdogsoup-nl  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    LOL Apple people are kinda weird, you could have just compiled a mildly modified version of the original source code with freeBASIC instead of recreating the game from scratch.. ^^"

      Yes or just run it on an emulator but I wanted to make the game available to non-technical people on their mobile devices 😀
