A number of seasons ago Rick visited a very well done museum somewhere. I remember they had a large restored ship? This made me think that someday there should be a large museum about OI. Probably on the mainland with shuttle tours to the island. This would continue to be a money maker like Mel Fishers treasure museum with his finds from wrecks! Apparently they have already hundreds of artifacts they have found that are not shown. Maybe Carmen Legge could do blacksmithing demos of how they made the nails and fittings back then? Could finance additional discovery and bring tourists/income to Nova Scotia.
My intel from the girl in the USA that was working there on Lot 5, is that the future of the island will be all exposed to build a large tourist attraction. It will be like a disney world project. So lots of spinoffs, and possibities. My advice is to purchase property in Western Shore, NS to make money in the future. :)
Acres and acres of room on the island. Lots (pun intended) of space for parking that would duplicate what was being used before that is now crew parking. Part of Lot 2 should be enough.
They aren't going to want people randomly walking around the island, falling in holes etc. Better groups on a bus with a docent to keep them corralled. Maybe let off the bus at the memorial etc. Or with headsets and prerecorded info at certain places. Then when they get back, you let them off so they have to go thru the gift shop on the way out (like Disney does on rides). @@Jfree906
Then maybe for more "hard-core" visitors, you have a personalized guided tour, maybe by one of the shows characters. This would be more $$$ of course, but you would get a free mug or hat! I was in management at a major theme park for 12 years. I know how this works! 8-)) 😉
I knew that was going to happen. That's why they drill all those holes to stabilize all the mud.
Sorry Bob, you knew what was going to happen?
