اسمعت لو ناديت حيا و لكن لا حياة لمن تنادي و لو نارا نفخت فيها أضاءت و لكنك تنفخ في رماد Thanks a lot my dear colleague for this effort you do . But most of the pupils are stone-headed . They stare at you absent-mindedly. Don't you notice that you are talking in Arabic more than in English. At their level, they must be pure English-speaker . Open-minded pupils are hitting two birds with one stone. Besides the live-lesson, they are learning the traduction. But for the mule-headed, they are just building castles in Spain. Much thanks once more.
Thank you for the lesson. I have two questions : Are we able to create compound adjectives from any word the way we want or just revising the ones common in English ? as for the second question the first modifier expressing adverb ending in 'ly' , do we have to always add hyphen into it ?
Thank you, Mr. Taoufik for your interaction. Yes, you can create new compound adjectives as long as you respect the forms I presented in the scond part of the video ( 05:32 ), and revising commonly-used compound adjectives is equally a great idea! You must add the hyphen if the adverb + past participle/ gerund is acting as an adjective. If the adverb modifies the verb, then there is no need for the hyphen. Example: Your work was *nicely done* . (No hyphen needed) This *densely-populated* area has the highest crime rates in the country. (Hypen needed) I hope the answers I provided are clear. Thank you again!
@@TeacherMohalije Thanks a lot. Just one more little notice ; concerning compound adjectives with numbers; should we always write them alphabetically or digitally ?
@@taoufikelmiri In most contexts, the numbers one through ten are spelled out (though some publishers only spell out one through nine) and all numbers 11 and up are written as numerals. This practice applies to ages. For example, one might write, “The 30-year-old man had two children, a seven-year-old and a 12-year-old.”
@@TeacherMohalije Yes . For instance : stone-headed , mule-headed and sharp-tongued. These examples are clearly seen in actuallybnour society especially among the so-called pupils. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks, I'm not Bac Student, I'm OFPPT Student lol, And I Love this Language, I have a Question for you Buddy, Should we just memorize them or we can create custom ones?
