- During the last few months, the news has been coming in thick and fast in regards to the Power Universe from Power Book 2 Ghost being cancelled, Power Book 4 Force being cancelled which is Tommy Egan's show to Raising Kanan being renewed for Season 5 and the new show which will be centered around a young Ghost and Tommy which will be 'Power Origins' .. But, with the latest news in regards to Force being cancelled and considering there might have been a little clue in Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4 Episode 4, with a small mention of Tommy, which isn't the first. In Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4, there's been a number of references to Tommy and also Ghost, and I wonder, are they setting it up for Tommy to return in Power Ghost Season 4 at some point? So in this breakdown, I run through the news around Force being cancelled, but how Tommy could also be returning to the world of Ghost in New York in Power Book 2 Ghost at some point in Season 4.

Bringing Tommy back to New York is intriguing as brings James St Patrick back to the PowerBook2 but it has to make sense. I would love for Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora to narrate young James St Patrick and Tommy in Power Origin.

I highly doubt money is the issue with these shows. They do extensive research on budgeting and buy what they can afford. These shows are the face of their network.

When they first announced these spinoffs,I said they would all tie back to the OG Power and you would then have an entire universe of characters instead of trying to introduce them on one show. Tommy can now go to Chicago and we already know Diamond and Jennard or if the Tejadas pop up,we know their back story. I think Ghost will return and the show will take on a new tone than it did originally.
It doesn’t make sense for Tommy to return to NY for good since he’s supposed to be “dead” there so I do think he may go to Cali. Maybe Tariq and Effie will somehow make it to Cali with Effie doing her thing at Stanford and Tariq and Tommy working together….just my 2 cents 😂😂😂
If Tommy goes then it’s no impossible for DMac to go. And I could see something where Tariq and Brayden might have a reason to go.

Tasha isnt dying. She’s a pivotal character that ties to the original show. Plus you have to get her full circle moment where she had it all,lost it and gets it all back but smarter this time. Killing her doesnt move story along at all atp

I hate to say it but I don’t think Brayden will make it for a crossover. Gianni is usually the one to post power every second and love to go live and talk about it. That hasn’t been him this season so either he’s upset bout his character direction in general or maybe he doesn’t survive this season

Seems the audience for the show age limit has been getting younger. I do believe it hurting the franchise. If 50 move’s everything to his studio, we’ll be fine. (Starz can keep these current writers and 50 use Courtney’s from original Power).

I agree that the audience is getting younger. That is why Tariq's storyline could not hold me like the original Ghost. I am not into all these young love affairs. I do not want to see it. It also feels like Book 2 focused more on these romantic rendez vous.

I think Tommy is so close to dominating Chicago. All he has to do is take out Miguels crew and then he controls all of the distribution in Chicago. He could put Diamond in charge of it and then expand CBI to another state? Just a theory. Seems weird for him to go to chicago build a massive empire, find family, and have a lover and then leave. I doubt it will all go to shit. I think he will just be expanding. Guess we will have to wait and see...

At this Time Tariq Baby will be born and be like 1 going on 2, and then Ghost comes out his Coma and Try To Find His Family

I didn't know who it was but it was Ghost walking to the balcony they just blurred him out. But Starz owns the shows. Most network deals require that. Curtis owning a studio helps him pivot, which is brilliant, but he still needs networks for distribution.

I highly doubt it. He’s already been to jail, none of these murders trace back to him, there’s no evidence that points to him doing it, and prosecutors im sure are done chasing St Patrick’s cuz they always lose. Tariq made a lot of mistakes but he never should’ve been locked up in the first place. If anything Monet or Cane are going to jail. It’s been very long and overdue for one of them.

Tommy is a great B character. Tariq is a C character. This franchise needs an A character,which is Ghost. The closest one to it is Raq but eventually RK has to end.

I remember last season in ghost tommy came back for a reason to kill Tasha. So in Force Season 3 a lot of things can happen like a war breaking out and Mireya possibly dying. When he talked to Tasha he had this look of concern on his face like he lost Mireya and a few soldiers in Chicago. Then when he talked to Tariq after stopping Monet it seemed like Tommy been through a lot in season 3 of force.
Fans really want: Ghost to come back...let Ghost, Tommy, Tasha, Tariq finish business in New York and move on...

I think for Tariq it’s a cool ending of this chapter, the Tejadas, I don’t think so. Many have overstayed their welcome without any sort of consequences and are due for major L’s they haven’t even taken yet. Cane will be on the run, Monet will get locked up, Dru will die, and Diana will probably survive.

Season 3 and 4 of ghost were filmed back to back they didnt take a break and were going to take a hiatus beford filming season 5 ..this what Michael Rainey said on his podcast the crew has it over a year ago ..so dont get your hopes up about anything big happening in the ghost finale...but the finale of force is where i think they will set up what ever is coming next

Like with OG Power at the end of the of the last episode of season 6 they dropped the spin off mashup trailer so when they finish the final episode of Raising Kanan season 5 they probably show another set of spin offs at the Starting with power book 5 Origins and then Power Book 6 and 7 to be released during the next mash up trailer. I'm not sure if they can keep extending power forever because eventually people will have fatigue, as happens with all shows eventually. However, my big concern is that if the whole universe in the present day timeline (Not counting origins and raising kanan as they're prequels), ends with the cancellation of Ghost and Force, the endings will feel very rushed and abrupt. I can sort of feel that already in Season 4 of Ghost. Rumour has it that the show will end on a bit of an open note. If they aren't going to follow that up I'd be really disappointed.
It depends on a lot of different things especially with the writing and the story line. For example the young and the restless has been on the air for at least 50 years now with some brand new characters throughout the years. Do I think that power should go to 50 years? Not at all but I do think they have some pieces to where they can do a final show where each surviving character at the end of each book, can appear in one show together for maybe a season or 2.

@@24klogan86 May be another 5 years at most. Also, ageing is inevitable - you don't really see that many middle aged drug dealers, they're either dead or in jail as Ghost himself would've said it. So it would probably have to be with the younger cast that it continues. Or does it work differently in America? Over here in Europe, drug dealers like Monet, Tommy or even Kanan would barely exist due to their age.

I too think that Tariq and Tommy will join forces. It would be dope if they ended up in Europe taking over Noma's turf and expanding. I keep going back to Influence being cancelled, and it was stated a spinoff of sorts in Europe. It would definitely put a different spin for Power. Seeing the difference between being in the drug game State side vs Europe. Do I think it'll happen? No, but one can dream.

Force lost the plot when it dropped the designer drug angle. It would have examined the future - synthetic psychoactives and elevated the game to the antics of wealthier people..

Cane will likely either be locked up or on the run, Monet will definitely get locked up, Dru will die, and Diana, TBD. It makes sense to have another Tariq especially considering the character is still very young and it’s pointing that way. Carter will be dead. Davis, either he will die or his license will still be suspended.
@@jaycool9480 What’s the point of another Tariq spin-off when they could have given him another season? Should we watch another show about Tariq rising to the top? He goes to LA to find a connection and start building. They should’ve taken Book 2 to the Streets, the second season. Tariq has zero street cred and is always on the Fed's radar. It’s going to be the same thing in the new show. With a brand new cast, they could've killed off most of these characters in season 3 and introduced a new cast in seasons 4 and 5.
@@Welove441 Because the show was getting too expensive to produce. It didn't get cancelled for a lack of ratings because it's the networks highest rated show. Look at the amount of A-list names and talent alone. MJB, Method Man, Woody McClain, MRJ (Power OG), the Tate bros, Micheal Ealy, that's a lot of A list names and talent. Then networks make less money on shows that hit season 4 and beyond because they have to pay their A-list talent more and behind the camera personnel more money like the writers, directors, and producers.
Consider this a salary reset with less A list names and talent. Like how OG Power was when they first started. There weren't any A list names on OG Power when they first started.
California makes sense for the merge of both shows. Especially since Effie and Tariq talked about going to school in California when they were in Italy. If there is a Ghost return I can see Ghost coming back to face off with Carter who strikes me as a person who would kill Tariq because Tariq has been that slippery or is Carter truly Ghost brother and some child hood memories or sibling rivalry that made them sworn enemies like Cane and Dru. I think when Tariq mentions Noma is going after Tasha and that he has Carter hot on his trail. I think Tommy is going to immediately come because Tariq mentions Carter. It's just speculation but it's a thought none the less.
That was before they broke up and they aren’t on the best of terms like that.

@@r.l.saxton1373 I don’t see it especially if she finds out that Diana is pregnant and about to have his child. Ain’t no way Tariq is abandoning his child if they both end up surviving this. That’s not in his character to abandon family regardless of how he feels about Diana. Plus fatherhood would be a good motivator for Tariq.
