      @@markfrascinella8707goes back to the late 90’s. The jets had an agreement with Bill that should Parcells retire, he’d be promoted to head coach and GM. Ownership, which was new, was doing some shady tactics to prevent Bill from interviewing elsewhere, eventually culminating in Parcells abruptly retiring, BUT still maintaining GM responsibilities. Patriots offered Bill coach and GM, he accepts, and then further Jets trickery they complain to the league that they had bill under contract, even though it was sorta breached, and force the patriots to give them a first round draft pick. Railroaded him with the organization and outside of it.

Because being a Jets-fan is not only killing my fun having to watch the Jets on Sundays. It is killing my ability and desire to watch the NFL as a whole, and I find that so frustrating. I love football. I hype myself up for NFL every year. I love following the rookies, the good teams, to root for all Nick Wright's QBs to fail and so on. But for every 1 minute of NFL joy, the Jets gives me at least 10 minutes of just having a really bad time, and I can feel myself just drifting away from football altogether. No one should keep doing something that gives them 10 times more anguish than fun. Life is too short.

      @BongzillaBrutus - it's because Belichick realized back then what we Jet fans have come to realize over these past 25 years.... that Woody Johnson is a TERRIBLE owner who lacks the basic understanding of what it takes to run a successful NFL franchise. He's become Jerry Jones of the AFC. Woody needs to sell the team in order for the Jets to ever achieve success again. Lifelong Packers fan here. Coincidentally as soon as Rodgers started playing for us, i had just became old enough to understand football, and became a cheesehead. I say that to say I’ve watched Rodgers career in its totality, from start to finish. He’s an all time great and was nothing short of legendary for the Packers, one of the best arms of all time, i don’t want to take any of that away from him. However i always was under the belief that he was never the leader of our team, just a quarterback that we had to build a roster around year in and year out. If we didn’t have as competent of a franchise as we do in Green Bay, i question whether he would’ve been anything close to what he became. He’s a great quarterback don’t get me wrong, or was a great quarterback, but this dude is not and never has been someone who is gonna turn a bad franchise around. He happened to go to a perfect situation in Green Bay, and the rest is history. As great as Rodgers can be physically, mentally when he’s out he’s out. Anytime Green Bay would be down 3 or so scores, he gives up. Someone doesn’t make a play, you can see the frustration written all over his face. No knock on the man that used to be my hero as a kid, but some people are just not leaders, not motivators, and thats fine. The Jets got desperate

      Lifelong Packers fan here that also watched the entirety of Rodgers' career. I completely agree with your take, he has led many fantastic game winning drives in his career that I'm extremely grateful for, but ever since 2019/2020ish I noticed a definite shift in his mentality. Any time the team was struggling in a big game Rodgers consistently would become frustrated and mope on the sidelines and that bled through to everyone. Tom Brady had that gene in him of motivating and rallying his teammates when the odds were against them and it felt like they were never truly out of the game. Especially late in Rodgers' Green Bay tenure, this was never the case and it felt like the smallest bit of adversity was always too much to overcome. A great example of this was 2021 against the 49ers.

    • @ccon1001
      @ccon1001 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      @@SuperPackersfan25 as fellow Green Bay lifer, the team lacked success because of our horrible defensive years, not Rodgers lack of leadership. Tom Brady might be louder on the sidelines, but he also had a Top 10 Defense for like 80% of his career of course it’s easier to win. Rodgers was a leader by being one of the best quarterbacks on earth, and watching his defense throw games year in and year out probably gets old.

    • @danielboyd7810
      @danielboyd7810 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I see your perspective but don't necessarily agree with your take. There were multiple seasons where Rodgers only played on 1 leg basically and still one league MVPs. He wants to win. Unfortunately his public persona has made him out to be kind of a weiner in the last coupler of years so he has removed people giving the benefit of the doubt.
      The fact is that Rodgers isn't as mobile at 40 and the jets can't trot a 40 year old quarterback out there when they have the softest O line in the league. Couple that with undisciplined penalties and a terrible defense, There is no quarterback that will ever exist that would be good on this jets team

Handpicking players, the dumb cadance and presnap clock crap, the showing up recievers on the field when he's the one airmailing passes. This entire plan has Woody's fingerprints all over it.
