When comparing to the competition, East West had the issue having not so good out-of-the-box sounding librairies. This drastically changed with OPUS and continues with Forbidden Planet. Keep up providing us with great patches, customisation and walkthroughs (always very knowledgeable by Ryan).
I really like how Ryan breaks down his project in Logic. He gives more than an overview on the new library - he shows ideas of how to use it including non-library things like automating tremolo and using expression wheels.
Woah! What a killer soundtrack you just made there. It perfectly compliments the entire scene, not only supporting it but further enhancing the emotions the scene tries to portray. Very impressive to think this was created almost solely using only a specific piece of software. Nonetheless, as powerful as Forbidden Planet seems to be, anyone has to be fair to acknowledge how well you've managed to use that power to make something really, really cool! So, congratulations to you too, man! Fantastic job.
Although I think composing is getting too pre-packaged and less original, in the super fast paced culture we're in it makes sense that we need it to pump out music for projects. These sound great, you guys made a good product.
Inspirational! These are the warm, rich sounds of hardware synths that virtual synths work so hard to emulate, but sometimes fall short. Others have released similar products featuring lovely samples, but with Forbidden Planet, Eastwest has gotten it right with a combination of deep sampling, pairing/x-morphing with curated second sources, expert production, and plenty of filter/modulation/arp/effects options; resulting in gorgeous sounds both nostalgic and modern. Bravo!
This is just what my band needed. Thank You, EastWest, and Ryan; I love that Arabic scale + Metal you do, like 9 inch nails, and what I try to do as well. I bet your spotify page is lit.
i can't wait to try it out...it really fits perfectly with my sci-fi hardwave - epic music hybrid vision. Thank for all the hard work! June12 can't come soon enough.
Always loved the EW sounds from when I first heard StormDrum back in the day but never something I could afford. Definitely considering the monthly package next time I have a bit of money.
I was thinking of buying that keyboard nektar , is it any good, I had Akai MPK261 which was okay I guess. Looks like the keyboard you are using there does the job nice, are the keys and response decdent for this type of music film - Kind regards.
You killed it in the scoring!!! I was wondering about your Nector keyboard, is the key bed loud like the cheap synth action keys on the 49 and 61 keys? Oh, and the plug-in sounds absolutely amazing!!!
Hey EastWest, thank you for adding up on your Products and the CC Subscribtion!! Sometimes I think maybe EastWest is a bit outdated but seems not so. I recently got the Hans Zimmer Strings from Spitfire and they are not necessarily better than the EastWest Orchestra libraries. Just different.
WOW!!! since yesterday i own this collection too, the compoaser cloud. The coolest Thing is when you share the logic Songs woith us, too... then we can rework this sound and go deep in it... ! how this sounds ? peace from germany. Dirk @EWQLTutorials
These sounds are incredible. But is the only option a subscription service? Personally I'd buy this without hesitation if I could own it. Personally I despise nothing more than paying for something and not owning it. Great work regardless!
Hi, is your all composer cloud software compatible with all MIDI keyboards? For example: Roland A-800, Korg Taktile 49 etc... And how to connect my keyboard to your software: For example: direct USB or external MIDI sound card etc...
Is there anything out there that’s comparable to this? Meaning presets that you don’t need to sound design yourself with the common synth plugins out there?
This is a powerful new Experience for East West...Ryan, is the new interface with the VU meters part of the Forbidden Planet interface or the Opus Player?
I can't wait to start playing with this library! is Opus compatible with Reaper DAW? I'm having trouble figuring out how to import the instruments. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
I have Opus and Reaper. I've not had any problems. Just right-click in the tracks section of edit window and select "add new track with vst instrument" a window will open for all your vst's. Select Opus from this window.
I purchase Eastwest products outright and not the composer a cloud option. Planet doesn't have the purchase outright option on the website yet only the cloud subscription option?.
Forbidden Planet will be available for sale on June 12. In the meantime, ComposerCloud subscribers have early access. If you are new to ComposerCloud, there is a 30 Day Free Trial that will let you test drive Forbidden Planet right away plus all 70 of our collections: www.soundsonline.com/composercloud
AMAZING RYAN !!! QUESTION , WHY DON'T YOU GUYS GIVE US THE TEMPLATE OF EACH DEMO ?WOULD BE VERY USEFUL !!! THE MORE YOU GUYS WILL LIVE VALUE THE MORE WE GONNA STAY !! THANKS !

The 61 Gb are downloading. I'll go to sleep and have the surprise in the morning. I know I'll spend the weekend exploring ...
Sounds like it's time to get an ethernet cable.
Well, lol… how did your trip into outer space go? Links to some finished music with the library??
; D
It's great that Ryan is in so many videos now. Really talented and lovely guy. And this sounds great!
Amazing score! Can't wait to explore and use this library :)
Have fun!
What a nice surprise. Got the composer cloud because of the orchestral stuff and now this bad boy
I really like how Ryan breaks down his project in Logic. He gives more than an overview on the new library - he shows ideas of how to use it including non-library things like automating tremolo and using expression wheels.
This is a perfect example of wonderfully usable patches in the hands of a clearly gifted composer, loving these walkthrough videos.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job Ryan, as usual. You’re such a versatile composer. Thank you for a new great deliver of this powerful library.

Gold! Digging into this library for some trailer tracks! 🎉🎉
Thanks Ryan for the walkthrough.
I've already downloaded Forbidden Planet, and it is a powerful excellent library.

This style and structure of walkthrough is geat. keep it up that way!
Coming at the perfect time! I'm scoring my new film as we speak!! Woohoo... Yesssssss!!!
These are so great. Soakin' it up, Ryan. Much obliged.
Extremely good presentation! 👍🏻👏🏻🙏🏻
Sounds like the Synth I always looked for.
Can’t wait to add this to library. So many possibilities!
Always loved the EW sounds from when I first heard StormDrum back in the day but never something I could afford. Definitely considering the monthly package next time I have a bit of money.
WHAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This library sounds very good.
Just downloaded it, THIS IS AMAZING!
Downloading right now. Can't wait to play it tomorrow morning :)
Great library! Will be acquiring it. By the way, is that a scene from a movie, show, or short film? What is its title?
Really nice walkthrough... thanks guys!
Very cool instrument and modern sounds.
great synth/library... the demo movie used is very funny

AMAZING all around!!!
Is there a way to sync the arpeggiator to the tempo of your project in Cubase? Can you do it in Opus itsself?
Most arpeggios are in 6/8 signatures. EDIT: I guess I found a way to go straight 16ths instead :)
Thank you. What a great tool, and demonstration of it! Is it software that needs to be renewed (license) every year?
OH man very very Nice !!

@EWQLTutorials
Which reverb were you using for the demos at the beginning of the video? One of the Spaces presets? It sounds really nice
Oh man!! You are using the same region colour like me! :)))
Coming out of retirement for this....
