Actually Canada is not that week and few years ago was top 10 team

there is no karma or anything in this match. Maybe the Japanese team was too hasty at the start of the set, so they quickly ran out of steam. Also remember that the players used are all main and there are no permanent changes.
so keep supporting them when they are down because of this defeat

Japan lost its focus on the third set. I guess pressure to close the match got them so hard. Egypt read their attacks well and their counter attacks definitely a problem for Japan.
It seems that Japan underestimated Egypt and thought they would beat themselves in the third set
and what about the 4th and 5th ! Egypt is better in fitness and concentration.

Most of the bets were stacked in favor of the samurai, and no one expected Egypt to win even by one set, but the spirit of determination and fighting among the Pharaohs was much stronger than Japan and its huge fans. The victory is historic for Egyptian volleyball, and the heroes of this victory gave a lesson in self-confidence despite the lack of technical and tactical strength. Thank you very much Egypt for this impressive match. Overall the africain volleyball has the potential to be good in the future, the only handicap is the fact that local and national leagues are low average level, no intense competition between the teams and the first 2 wealthiest teams will pick the talented, therefore leaving the other teams struggling. The lack of strong infrastructure, no academy , no funds for investment and lack of experienced well seasoned instructors and coaches, all of the above reasons are the main factors why the African volleyball didn’t improve and has always incapable of competing in high tournaments in causing problems to big teams.
I like that you used the terms Samurai and Pharaoh 🔥. And I very much agree with you. Even on the African women's side, the lack of competitive leagues is a very huge factor.
That's why you shouldn't underestimate your opponent even if you're stronger than them

I bet on Egypt. Don't get why people are so shocked. Yeah sure, they've been in bad form in the last years. But they've been on the volleyball map for decades. They used to be stronger than Japan until a few years ago. And now the team has got some very strong youngsters. Look at the results of the junior and youth national teams.

It was a matter of consistency and now we have good young team despite the retirement of Ahmed salah and injury of Ahmed shafik we still managed to win.
