Weirdly revolutionary as an idea. Just go backwards and release a game on old hardware. Imagine in 2024 a different game company sells a GB Color game. People will buy that just for the novelty never mind actually playing it
And lots of cozy games from Limited Run are coming from the stoves, even Golden Axe Remake and Street of Rage ;o
Nintendo should make the GBA library more deeper than ever, imo
Finally, after 20 years we now have a sequel in the Shantae franchise. Can't wait to see what you guys'll cook up for the third game.

The fact it's Risky's Revolution and the world revolves is just soo good. Can't wait.
It's actually Risky Revolution. So it has sort of an additional meaning as the revolving is risky.
Shantae: "Risky Boots!"

Immediately downloaded this and re-rendered it at 240x160 so I can see what it would look like on GBA. Even with my quick and dirty method that I'm sure, wasn't pixel perfect. THIS GAME LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I remember reading about a Shantae GBA in old game magazines and I cant wait to finally live that reality. HYPE!!!

I remember back when the Half-Genie Hero Kickstarter was successfully funded, there was a special Twitch stream the Wayforward staff did showing off content from the then canceled Shantae GBA game and I pleaded in the chat to give it another chance...and we are over a decade later and it's actually happening

Don't have a physical copy of Risky's Revenge? I mean it wasn't on Gameboy, but it was the sequel until this happened. Pirate's Curse, 1/2 Genie, 7 Sirens?

We are almost close, the only thing missing is the exit arrow of the game. I liked the part that Sky uses wrench as a screwdriver.

Despite not owning a single copy of Shantae, I've been following this franchise for quite some time. It's beautiful to see our half genie hero evolve as the years go by. Now that I have a PC, I'm hoping this game will be released on Steam so I can buy it!

Hi guys , do you know your Beta Demo of Yars Revenge has ... by mistake all ASSETS FROM THE WHOLE GAME IN IT... models , texts , Ost , sounds , animations , maps ... for the whole 5 chapters ... even the cringe space\Credits\ending songs like Fly Warriors Fly , and outtakes and alternative version ... even the Full Remixes (bgm_ch1_full , bgm_ch2_full ,bgm_ch3_full) and more ... dunno if anyone told you about it ... so , yeah ... The whole 5 chapter long 72 song OST will hit sooner on the net ... with assets ...then the game itself... ouch

I'm all for retro Shantae games (and newer ones too), but how does that work? They sell a rom file for emulation? Or is it the physical cartridge itself? Or is it just a switch exclusive under the name of gba?
