Note on weaving from side to side, I would typically weave the paper cord twice on each hook unless the weave gets ahead and I need to correct the placement. Hope this helps!
Just made a bottom shelf for my walnut side table with these instructions. I checked out a bunch of videos and resources and this was the most helpful by far. Cheers!
Beautiful bench, and a great informative video for the weaving. Thanks!
Greetings from Australia
Love your work and great to see people from all over the world enjoying what I enjoy. Woodworking! Oh and cord weave furniture as well.
Have subscribed and will watch more of your videos soon.

A lot more involved than I initially thought. Nice job!
Thanks a bunch man! definitely takes more time than i expected but it'll only get faster overtime, hopefully!
Hey man, great tutorial! Thank you for putting this together. Good camera angles, and I like how you shared some design thoughts/details.
I hope you start a Danish cord chair soon. Thanks for the guidance!
Brilliant tutorial mate, super clear and wow, what a result. Top stuff.
Thanks a ton James, Lots of work put into it and I hope it helps someone in the future!
That's some really cool stuff. I always knew this was pretty involved, but didn't realize the scale of it.
Thanks a bunch Suj, definitely a process getting it done but its kinda therapeutic for me haha
@AceWoodCo thanks for the lesson. It's nice to see a young guy working on an old method to keep it going. I've never seen the L nails before. I'll have to look for them. When I'm working on scratching posts I normally use a U shaped tack and put a knot in the end of the string. The tack goes after the knot so it can't slip out. I highly recommend you get a cheap crochet hook to help pull your string through tight areas to save your fingers. You sir are very patient! It's a lovely bench! If you like this sort of thing, check out Texsense for a folding sling back chair she does.
This is my first time watching you. Do you have any videos on making the actual bench please?
Amazing job, congratulations!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Very cool process man 👍🏻 one of my favorite builds to date
Thank man, means a lot coming from you! 🙌
Thank you so much. Amazing work 💐
Awesome
Thanks a ton Grace!
Do you predrill or anything before setting the L nails?
hey, yeah I predrill holes before setting the L nails!
Thank you! Great explanation.
Thank you!
Great tutorial, lots of really useful tips for a beginner like me :0). You dont happen to have a video/plans on how you make your bench. Its a really nice design?
Unfortunately I don't have plans at the moment but hopefully I have some time in the future to make some :)
What size cord did you use? Can’t wait to try it.
I used 1/8 laced on this bench if I recall!
Am about to make a danish cord to a clients oak lounge chair. Is there any way you account for the space between the nails of L shape nails? For example 10mm on short side and 40mm on the long side!? Any tips ?
I used equal spacing of 1” on the long side and .5” on the short side. I also made sure to have an L nail in the Center space and work my measurements towards the corner so if there is any bit of discrepancy it will be in the corners and not be too noticeable, hope this helps!
Great! How much paper cord does one need ?
You can order 1lb or 10lb spools of Danish paper cord. If I recall 1lb should be enough but I always go on the cautious side and buy extra!
cool!
youre pretty cool too!
Distance betwen nails Sir ?
The front and back spacing is 1” and the sides I found 3/8” to work well, hope this helps 👍🏽
Респект за ролик), как называется шнур - нить ? тз чего изготовлен шнур ?
Nice 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤😊😊
Thanks!
ola gratitude for breaking your art I'm Brazilian here has no Danish role and difficult manufactures it
From where can i buy it...i need the paper cord in india..
I bought it from levairs in Canada
how does the cord handle strong farts?
May have to use a barometer to see how it will hold up
