They were great in their time. I loved seeing them in those days. They never seemed to have recovered from the death of Gary Grimes and unfortunately they just look old. I think that the Fab Four is the best out there right now. As of late they too are hiring younger guys to keep the show going. I am going to see them next week.
What is forgotten, sadly, is that The Mahoney Brothers were the really first serious group doing Beatles Tribute. I saw them twice; first in 1980 at a MALL in Clearwater, Florida (Clearwater Mall, now gone). Then, in 1994 at Lesourdesville Lake amusement park in Ohio. Fantastic show...after The Fab Four, then The Bootleg Beatles, The Mahoney's still bring the fire...and they are LONG in the tooth. I'm seeing Mahoney's in August at Knoebel's Amusement Park, tucked away in Coal country in PA. See them if you have the chance!!
Sorry for the little wobbly recording. Wanted to drink my beer and my hand was getting tired of holding it in the same spot lol. Glad everyone enjoys the great music
@@news603redux I know. He built the White Picguard Rickenbacker too. Mark is a great guy and master guitar creator. I believe he rebuilt the 12 String Rickenbacker as well when he first received it.
"So you want to sing like a Beatle, do ya?" He SHOULD be addressing this to HIMSELF. This guy sounds NOTHING like John, looks NOTHING like John. The group as a whole looks like some corpses have been stuffed into Beatles suits and in some demonic way re-animated. That was painful.
Still brilliant after all these years. Has to be the most enduring Beatles tribute ever. Unsurpassed to this day.

These guys are spot-on. Just amazing! Are they veterans of the “Beatlemania!” production of the 1980s?
Apparently George's father was filling in last night, lol. That said, still my fave band in the world, seen them for 39 years.
That's Jimmy Pou... in the day he was the best George going....Gavin Pring from the Fab Four is the one now.
It's GOT to be yesterday !
Yes because today is 23 lol
These Cats are GREAT!!!
Lots of Energy,Great vocals and musicianship.
Yes they are!

I can understand needing a pint to be able to endure this act. Not good. I would need the pint plus a Morphine drip!
@@michaelg1060 lol
were they plugged straight into the PA? sounds incredibly good
Looks like it. Didn't see any other equipment whatsoever
Probably direct boxes.Great balance in the mix out front .
All the bands are doing that...if you are seeing Vox amps they are usually ampty and are just for looks
Is “George” playing an Epi 355?Cant tell what “John” is playing but they both have Great tone.
George has a Gretsch Country Gentleman and John has a Rickenbacker 325c58
@@Crazy_Caleb320 Actually, that's the "Ric 325" that he built, it's not a real 325.

@@Crazy_Caleb320 Interesting, I thought it was just a stock 325c64. He's still got great after forty years though.
