Some of those guys don't seem to want to call their hits and they then stand there and "dead talk" to give away your position. I can understand their frustration as I watched a lot of their shots fall short either because of poor hopup setting probably. Even so, these are cheating tactics and the marshals need to be more observant and call them out for it. That one dude in the pith helmet was especially bad about not calling hits and then dead talking. There were a few that I was pretty sure didn't feel or hear the hit on their kit so benefit of the doubt there, and great props to all those guys who were calling the hit the first time. Perhaps go DMR then because a semi auto sniper will nail them with quick 2nd hits as needed w/o the reload. I'd really like to see KM go DMR with maybe an M-14/M-21 or Socom M1A. I have the Socom M1A and a Dragunov that work well. The SVD has a 1-4 power scope and the M-14 just has a red dot. Hopefully the people on your field won't be as bad about not calling their hits as they are on this particular field.

A good player will call a hit if they so much as suspect a BB touched their "armor". You can still hear it hitting. An even better player won't wear armor to begin with.
I love sniping in airsoft, but man sometimes getting your target to call their hit is frustrating. I try not to hold it against them because it's easy to think that a single shot might have been a deflect or a stray or something, so then you have to keep shooting them lol

One site that I went to on my own, had someone on the other side that wouldn't take hits - and it was egregious (never seen it so bad - even said "ouch" a couple of times when hit, and *still* carried on) - so, in the end our side ignored him - didn't shoot at him, didn't acknowledge hits from him - he went home at lunch time. Only time I've ever seen that happen.

They are pretty fun. Got my 1st one years ago to play cricket while my buddy and I smoked in his garage in the winter so we don't freeze (the guns came with a sticky dart board target). It was a Remington replica that guaranteed it could hit a quarter from 25ft away which I can vouch for. Quickly we learn how much better they worked at getting rid of annoying mice that steal his bird seed. Next week we both had rifles, and instead of play Xbox, we would sit in the garage and wait for the mice to come steal some seed. Worked better than his cat I can say that.
Harder not to call against other types of guns. Closer range removes a lot of the potential uncertainty. If there is an airsoft community near you it should be worth checking out. You just have to remember that it's a pricey sport and it's going to attract a wide range of people with a decent amount of disposable income. A fair number will be spoiled babies, most of them probably aren't tools. The cheaters are just the most obvious to a sniper
