    Thank you thank you for a detailed description of the items you described in the potting to semi-hyro. This will make the process much easier. I've got several orchids that seem to be hanging around but a couple of others that are straining to stay alive so I'm going to try on one of each and see how they do. Hi Michael, the peroxide is what kills the snails, not the alcohol? I brought home 3 rescue phals today and one while soaking in tea and lemon had a snail crawl up on a leaf! Ugh

    • @MichaelsOrchids
      @MichaelsOrchids  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The alcohol dissolves the insect’s waxy covering, and is a good tool to reach the pests hidden down in the sheaths and leaf crevices. In my experience, the alcohol helps but doesn’t completely eliminate the snail. The hydrogen peroxide always does the trick though, that’s why I use both at different times.

    good morning Michael,
    Nice video as always profesional neat structured and I formative ❤ serious fan for live..
    i did not know about the dividing 10 through your nitrogen amount and use that as a teaspoon measure per us gallon for weakly weekly feeding.
    I to have a 20-20-20 fertilizer and I'm afraid I over did it. the recommended dose is 1 teaspoon per liter per 2 weeks. to halve that I now use halve a tsp. per 2 liters weekly 3 weeks in a row and flush the fourth week. a gallon was I think 4 liters so I use rubble the amount of fertilizer🙊. I'm gonna look that up again. ps I do have a kelp based root booster it's from plagron cana has the rizotonic so there are substitutes for kelpmax for those in Europe who can not get our hands on kelp.max. I want it.soooo bad but ray does not ship outside the USA. 😭
    ow ps would you be so kind to check out me verry first videos... I do not have a camera or a tripod or dashing good looks but I do have a passia for orchids and plants and I wanted to share that so I start recording 2 weeks ago posted my first vid last week with my daughter and after that I'm back tracking edeting or just pasting vids together so you get a coherent film. and I am a but OCD about things in chronological order so I'm working treu some vids to post it as I filmed it. so i stil have 3 or 4 to post. anyway I rattle on even more then usual when im nervueos 😅😇
    so if you could spare a few.minutes of your day and check out what you inspired me to do that would be amazing.
    I also wanted to thank you for encouraging me and giving me the guts to just go for it and be me and film my journey I to this hobby.
    you are an I aspiration and such a warm loving person and I needed that said ❤ happy hump day (i hope I spell that correct soon did not just say sineying inappropriate 🤔🙈 anyway it's Wednesday here so that's what I meant 😂😂

    Hi Micheal,
    I am pretty new to your video's and really enjoy them and have used a lot of your instructions...that being said, I am wondering if you still use Physan 20. I watched your tool kit video and bought some..used it once then watched a video where I think you said you don't use it monthly any more....a wee bit confused. I know you are on a learning curve like the rest of us, but I certainly run to your video's when I have a question...thanks again for all you do!!

    The reason why they say do not use fertilizer with urea is because the plant can not break it down. The plant needs help from the soil bacteria, which can break it down so
    the plant can now absorb the nitrogen
