To be fair Shojin gives Ability Haste for you Q/W/E on top of the Ability Haste it gives as a main stat, meaning the single item gives you all of the following: Health, AD, Ability Haste (which is increased in the case of your basic abilities), and %Damage increase on abilities. It's undoubtedly a top 3 first item for Riven, the only other two I'd consider going are Sundered Sky or the Dirk-Brutalizer set up into Profaned Hydra
@@jameswylie6671 I think that's where my bias comes in because I have much better trading in lane with Sundered Sky as opposed to Eclipse, but you're right that the item is also very good. I think I prefer Sundered because the heal scales harder when you're lower too, whereas Eclipse only gives it relative to your AD (although Revitalize in Resolve tree can increase the shield when you're low)
Imo it depends on match up.. On some match up going eclipse feels really good (shield+ damage + Movement speed) into certain match up.. + the price of the Eclipse is super low compared to sundered for exemple.. I also prefer sundered, but there was case where I had Bruta / Dirk / R2 boots + 2800G, taking eclipse here gives so much tempo

Yeah only thing with eclipse is percentage max health physical damage just seems like it doesnt really suit it@@alexandreolek4518
