This right here, is the definition of "chaotic creative energy" from Linus and the REASON why I love this channel so much. This is my favorite video in 2 weeks!!!
It amazes me how LTT takes the business decisions. They sponsored their own video so that they can give shout out to G.Skill, Asus and super micro all at the same time. Nice 👍👍
@@ohyou_6599 Also they don't seem to have the time to find sponsors so fast. Don't forget, sponsoring on TH-cam means: - You propose an idea of a video to possible sponsors - they give the ok - you make the video - they say if the video meets their "quality goals" - if yes, video gets published, if no, recut That can take DAYS to weeks, depending on how big your channel and how difficult your video is = what topics it covers, which departments of the sponsoring company want to have a deal etc. It's therefore just easier when we come to "on the ground coverage" about actual stuff like this trade show that they just avoid these steps, sponsor it themselves and the companies will most likely give them just a better price for the next sponsoring for regular videos. That was also the reason why Linus was so thankful for Sensonic to sponsor his "I got hacked" video, because not only was it a delicate topic, but also = sensonic couldn't knew ahead what will be published as Linus had to be fast to tell us what happened after he gained back control over his channels to not lose too much followers. He could have said derogative stuff about the hackers and they wouldn't be able to do anything about it (only cancelling further sponsorings, but a more heated person than Linus might have went the "burn it all to the ground" way and not the nice informative one)
The amount of fun everyone is having in this video is clearly evident. More content like this, it’s fantastic seeing how smooth and natural these on location videos are.
This whole show is the best coverage that LTT has ever done. Almost no "reading the specs crap", just going around and trully using your influence to do cool stuff.

Pretty sure it was absolutely worth it for GSkill. Definitely gonna remember this when planning my next build
And remember guys... This is how much they decided to edit and show us... God knows what else these 2 took apart
hoping for a floatplane exclusive 🤞
this might be what convinces me to buy a floatplane subscription
Linus saying "sir, this is LTT, I cant make videos withour CPUs" in that voice is gold, the determination is respectable
I love how the G Skill rep instantly changes his mind when Linus says he's going to Team Group. Talk about pressure, I'm pretty sure a spot on LTT for G.Skill is worth any trouble he's gonna get into.
He's not getting into trouble, he just winged a massive marketing win, might even get promoted
@@Sanchuniathon384 saw it as a massive W aswell. Pretty much for every company featured tho
I have some Trident Z Royal, and this G SKill rep convinced me to buy more!
At this point we need a full sidequest video where you try to build a full pc at a convention! That was so much fun
I must say your coverage of that fair is really next level. I've never really liked videos from those fairs, but with these super hands on things really stepped it up!
The supermicro guy was straighter than a ruler. Props to him for handling Linus' high energy!
There's something about the scavenger hunt, networking/contacts, and challenge aspects of this video that make it feel like a "reality game show" and I love it!
I'd go to a tech expo just to watch Linus run around trying to assemble a PC by "borrowing" various components.
Half expecting Jack Sparrow to run alongside him
Ooo, that'd be great for their build competition videos. Who can make the best PC at the exhibition? You're not allowed to tell anyone it's for a competition, you can only ask to borrow something (You are allowed to lie).
Just follow him around the whole time and make your own behind the scenes 😂
This right here, is the definition of "chaotic creative energy" from Linus and the REASON why I love this channel so much. This is my favorite video in 2 weeks!!!
12:24 when G-Skill is trying to market theyr products, Linus be like 😂
If this is what we can expect from non-CEO linus, this was a great decision lol
I 100% agree lol
I think CEO Linus would have still done this, lol. But I do expect more shenanigans now that he’s not as stressed
I will only buy GSkill from now on
I love that they let you do this.
For real!! They're great!
It amazes me how LTT takes the business decisions. They sponsored their own video so that they can give shout out to G.Skill, Asus and super micro all at the same time. Nice 👍👍
I think it might be in agreement with computex that they do not have sponsored videos showcasing content there
@@ohyou_6599 they do
@@ohyou_6599 Also they don't seem to have the time to find sponsors so fast. Don't forget, sponsoring on TH-cam means:
- You propose an idea of a video to possible sponsors
- they give the ok
- you make the video
- they say if the video meets their "quality goals"
- if yes, video gets published, if no, recut
That can take DAYS to weeks, depending on how big your channel and how difficult your video is = what topics it covers, which departments of the sponsoring company want to have a deal etc.
@@acmenipponair for small channels sure. for ltt they will have high paying sponsors just to have him fart around at a trade show
@@acmenipponair I am pretty sure DBrand would sponsor anything linus does with out question as long as they can throw a joke in there at his expense.
10:14 you may call them the magnet thing
guy looked like he was dead inside in 1:05 😂
I love how the demo guy doesn't look like he's acting at all. He's serious. WTF is this crazy man doing with our demo unit.
This was immense! I’ve missed Linus going out to trade shows. Let’s hope his new role allows more of this!🎉
Honestly? One of the best videos I've seen lately. The "real" chaos was so fun to watch.
This is actually one of the most fun LTT videos I’ve seen in recent times. Seeing all your contacts out there sweating to get you stuff was amazing!
And the supermicro server is also actually interesting
The reps going along with your shenanigans is honestly better advertising than any paid spot. Made me want to get GSkill next time im getting ram lol
Can not agree more. Usually, I check out or fast-forward when an ad pops up, but this entire video was basically a non-scripted ad. One that showed how laid back and cool the people at these companies are.
Seeing Supermicro featured so much on LTT is what made me buy multiple Supermicro motherboards for my homelab. Props to them for being so accommodating with Linus and Jake. And props to Asus and G.Skill too of course.
I got them course they are best bang for the buck, besides the one ASROCK board I use on my NAS (that one an embedded Atom C3558, the others Epyc 3251)
0:05 The way everyone was seeing LINUS and his son (JAKE) taking the SERVER 😂🤣
I love the way LINUS and JAKE done the preps for showing us the server....!!!😂🤣
It's really cool to see the relationships between Linus and the industry groups at play in this.
The Gskill collab really did its job. I'm definitely buying some shiny royal ram for my first build!
5:55 make sure to oc like this.
I haven't had this much fun watching a tech video in a long time, running around for parts, contacts giving them to you because why not and we also got to see something curiously interesting with that consumer server. it was great
This is such old school scrappy LTT content, love it!
I'd love to see a vlog of Linus and Jake just running around Computex. This was brilliant!
Man.. what a blast was this to watch xD
Kudos to that G.Skill guy and G.Skill specifically!
Actually all of the companies xD
The lengths they went to to give us a demo of, basically some server admin pages, incredible. Linus' passion is amazing... I'd kill to have such a burning passion for anything.
big shoutouts to Supermicro & G Skill for willingly being part of this skit episode
but yeah the 8 PC rack sounds pretty amazing, especially for LAN events or Cafes, or Linus' weird home PC
Don't forget asus
Not if you are unable to put GPUs in the individual PCs.
I can't believe they just let you run around all over the exhibition hall toting the server blade.
This video has the most chaotic energy I've seen out of LTT in years, and I can see that Linus is loving it.
POV: you're a representative at a stand while seeing these guys at 1:53
One of my new favorite LTT vids. The surprise search for parts made things fun and entertaining, and Linus is at his on-camera best, obviously full of energy and excitement. Awesome stuff.
This felt old school, love it. More old school feeling videos please!
This is my favorite LTT video this year. The scrappy feeling you and jake gave it finding parts to get that 8-Node system running was fun! I have no purpose for this box, but I wanna buy one now!
Call the cable management prototype, “The noodle doodle”
Because it will manage all the spaghetti cable.
Noodle Caboodle? (wire bunch)
honestly idk haha
@@mpawood
You could use that for a pack of them, lol
Call it the canoodle for its Canadian roots
Seeing Linus’ influence at these events is amazing. Can imagine at these events he doesn’t need a lanyard just his face😅
Linus is getting more energetic and alive and funny on the videos, i guess after all linus is the presenter guy and a real enthusiast to the core and not a management cum ceo guy, preps to the ltt media team to make videos in middle of a big exhibition, all the camera setup, and editing computers needed and also people who edit overnight are very great people.... 👍
This must be one of the most entertainment video I have seen lately, the non scripted aspect of it (or so it seems) plus partners jumping to help makes it very fun. Thank you. :)
This video has such a chaotic energy, I love it
This is your best content in a while. I enjoyed being taken on the ride where you guys find parts and challenge your reps. Great piece of content!
I now want to see the best PC you can build at a trade show, using only parts that are in house.
@@Lamarama I think Gskill were hosting some of the extreme overclockers, which iirc included some bananas rig that had continuous LN2 cooling and actually needed a heat gun to bring it up in temp when they overshot or something. Still amazing that he let them effectively break open some of their RAM while calling the design cringe though lol
This is the kind of content I want to see about servers.... rapid disassembly while talking about its specifications.
"What happened to the...?"
_"Linus stole it."_
"That Linus?"
_"That Linus."_
15:50 LMAO I love every rep in this video, it's really nice to get a reminder that there are real people who actually care and just passionate about the tech, behind the souless companies.
Linus has refined ridiculous to an art form... I love it!!!
Those guys literally let him do whatever he wanted lol I love this kind of community support in the industry
I love the sheer utter chaos of this entire questline, what an entertaining way to bring in multiple people at a big tradeshow.
13:38 the pronunciation is right, but as an Italian, hearing people say Ponte Vecchio in that way makes me laugh
Spitballing a few cable organiser names to hopefully give you some inspiration 👍
1: Mag-ties or magna-ties
2: Tie mags
3: Tidy mags / tidy magnets
"If you can't get ram..." "...we'll go to teamgroup" that had me crackin' up xD
Man this was a gem of a video. Shows how far you've come to see you flip flop seamlessly between bs shenanigans and slick, clear presentation of information.
Shout out to those who "care in a different way"!
LTT getting and doing all they want in a tech exhibit is hilarious
2++ million views is more attention any of these guys ever hope for.
Since Linus announced he's stepping down as CEO the videos have been increasingly chaotic and great!
This is just like every other computex video he used to do
1:41 that hawt showgal behind Linus
In moments like these you can see the influence that ltt has in the tech industry, not just anyone can walk up to a booth and just borrow a cpu or laptop without informing the people there before hand
The search for the parts was more fun than the actual tech showcase. Great video!
This was a fun adventure! Loved the cooperation from different booths to make it all happen. It was also cool to see fully self-sponsored video.
It's awesome to not only see some behind the scene kinds of deployments, but the actual people LTT interacts with in the tech world.
"And I know what you're thinking"
Me: how hasn't Linus dropped this yet?
When you do so many side quests you forget there was even a main mission
Can’t wait to see the Gskill rep in the next lab update video
I love how they make a situation of it. The story telling is what keeps me coming back.
This could be a godsend for LAN tournaments, although most team shooters these days have two teams of around five players.
Man, this for a quake live tournament (absolute overkill but im so down)
Doesn't have any GPU support so not really.
@@hisfatness522 each blade has a PCIe slot and thus full support for any single-slot GPU? So, with a custom heat sink any not-too-highend GPU should be usable.
no space for a GPU thats capable of gaming
@@Woodie-xq1ewMy Nvidia Tesla P4 could run some games, spec's around RX580, though it is only 75 Watt, perhaps a Tesla P40 would run
I always loved SuperMicro as a company, and have had several of their Server Motherboards running as well as several full servers. Way back when they had replacement HS backplanes to allow me to switch from old SCSI hard drives to SAS hard drives. No other manufacturer fully supported their products like SuperMicro does! Not HP or Dell or IBM.
They still have BIOS / Manuals / Specs for their really old systems online too. This is the GOLD standard for server companies, especially when you want to either keep them for a long time, or if you need to re-purpose them after the initial deployments.
Watching the videos of computex from LTT makes you realize just how much clout Linus has. It just shows that these guys know what they're doing and companies like working with them. Another great video!
8 gamers one pc lives once more!!!!!
Better than 2 gamers 1 cup.
Although this video was *very* spontaneous, it was REALLY fun! Loved to see the industry people behind the scenes!
I'd say it was really fun exactly because it was vbery spontaneous.
You know all those helpful people loved doing something a bit risky. Good guys supermicro and gskill!
Considering how nervous the gskill guy seemed for them borrowing stuff from a consumer machine, the Intel guys where very chill when linus wrecked their super computer ;)
3:13 we only have intel cpus. Nice job g skill
