I was 5 when my parents took me to see this movie. My mom used to say. It played for 3-4 years at our local cinema in rotation with other movies. And my father would watched it over and over again when it played at "Panggung Wayang Kapitol" in Kangar, Perlis, Malaysia. My father passed away in July.
This movie and this song will always be special to me. It remind me of my father and my Mom.

This number used to be played a lot on AIR Shillong. If I remember correctly there used to be a half hour program from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm in which Hindi songs were played but the announcements were in English. The last song would always be a Bengali film song.

I have sweet memories associated with this song. I used to live in Johannesburg. I got a buddy there by the name of Abdu Rehman Sow, who was a local African from Sinegal and whose friend sung this song in full rhythm. That was my first time I listened to this song. Amazing voice. Touches my heart. Reminds me of those great friends. These guys were wonderful african guys from Sinegal. I have a lot of respect and wonderful memories. Love you Sinegalese!!!! Best song of my life.
