hmmm nice review thou. But while recording it will be difficult for epicboom yo replicate what we've heard as it is technically a 360 audio which the mids and highs are more laid back as compared to jbl more forward mids and possibly higher highs due to the ergonomic design of the device itself. If compared to bose revolve+ or something will be much better options.
These are the two middle-weight speakers in their respective lines and similar priced, so to compare them is obvious. Not sure I've ever heard anybody refer to JBL sound as forward mids.😯 And BTW, the Epicboom is not a 360 degree speaker. They may market it as such, but it's not. It has one woofer in the middle and a mid-high driver on each side, angled out. Nothing active in the back of the speaker. And to compare the EpicBoom to the Bose Revolve+ II would be a far more different comparison. The Bose has a down-firing design for true 360 degree sound and is a much smaller size, more in line with the Boom 3 or Charge 5. Hope this helps clear things up for ya. 😉
You keep comparing 360 speakers to your beloved JbL. The point of 360 is it's a sphere of audio. The JBL blasts it's shit in one direction and screw everyone not sitting directly in front. In real life these handle sound a lot different.
The Epicboom is actually not a 360° speaker. It has one active driver in front and one on each side, with no active driver in the back. It's not a "sphere of audio" by any stretch. The Xtreme 3 actually has pretty decent off-axis sound quality overall, so you are actually not accurate with that, either. Hope this helps. 😉
@@JaysStraightUpReviews okay. Maybe I am too harsh. But I listened closely and the extreme 3 was much louder and in my opinion sounded better as well. So I guess what I'm really saying is compared to the extreme 3 it kind of sucks. Lol
@@JaysStraightUpReviews but then again being louder and having more bass might not be what everybody wants. And in that case they might think that the Epic is more suitable for them
@@JaysStraightUpReviews lol I don't think so. But I suppose there are unusual people in the world. I haven't met many though when it comes to speakers most of them want loud and lots of bass

@@JaysStraightUpReviews so is epicboom somewhat a semi-stereo speaker?
@@yiewniew yeah, you get some stereo separation between the two mid-high drivers.
I’m happy with my xtreme 3
👀👀🔈😎 🎵 I had a blast with the extreme 3.
Unplugged the Epicboom will be louder as the Xtreme3 is apparently boosted significantly when plugged in.
The X3 does get a slight bump in output when plugged in. It's not a night and day difference, however.
xtreme 3 is my choice
I'm with ya on that, bro.
@@JaysStraightUpReviewsyes. Extreme3 is a good speaker for sure!
Ue epic boom . Describing the price being too high! Extreme sounds way better to me!
With you on this.

yes sir because i have jbl xtream 3 boombox 2 xtreme 2 sony xb43 mifa wildbox
amateur 😂
The epic boom needs a redesign with a speaker phone and it would be perfect.
Perfect is quite a stretch. 🤪
Can you add the treblab HD360 on these 2 speakers for your next video
I wasn't planning on doing another video with the Epicboom and Xtreme 3. 😟
how long does the battery last on full volume on the Epic Boom?
I've never played it full blast from full battery to dead. I really don't like the speaker that much, especially for the outrageous price.
There's been a new update on the epic so it's a lot better😊
It has improved some, but it's still too pricey for what you get.
Extreme 3 the best
I like that Holy Cross.... Epic Cross...
Boom sounds like all midrange...
It did get an update after this video that helped it some, but I still think it;s highly over-priced.
Extreme much better
The Epicboom has since had a firmware update or two, which did improve it a little bit. I still think it under delivers for the price.
Jbl just better than UE
No doubt!
Epic boom sucks lol
Sucks might be a bit too harsh. I prefer lacking. 😆
