I do not want seasons unless they specifically make a new biome for that. I don’t want it to change all the plants and grass around my house or start putting snow around. Maybe it’s just because I live in a place that basically doesn’t have seasons (it just gets a little cold in winter) but I just don’t want the areas I’ve already built in being affected.
My theory is that since, the last update was the Garden Awakens, that the next update in spring will be the Garden Blooms or something like that, since y'know, flowers and the sun are pretty integral parts to a garden, maybe it will add the Freaking, jokes aside maybe it will add a sub-biome of the Cherry blossom (since the cherry blossom), and maybe even with the Moolip (probably not tho). or my other theory that it will just be a bug fix drop (Like buzzy bees, God save Bedrock) and make bees more useful (hence the calendar, because everyone will wait for the drop to end for the real drops).
I am pretty certain the end update is coming. They just wanna let the project team cook to avoid another caves and cliffs, and get something closer to another Nether update
Honestly instead of fully fledged seasons, I’d rather have season-specific biomes. Like we have the Cherry Blossok Grove for spring, why not an Autumnal forest for the Fall? Or a snowy version of a preexisting biome for the winter?
I'm guessing it's straightforward. A flower update. Possibly moobloom, but more likely just a bunch of new flowers for the sniffer. That would be a smaller drop, but fun.
I hope seasons don't get added to the game. Imagine building in a snowy biome only to have all the snow melt away, or building in nearly any other biome only to have to deal with snow layers everywhere. Give us the ability to dye leaves! Then we could make it be any season we wanted. The teaser looks to be telling us when the next couple of updates/drops are probably coming: Spring & Summer . So, maybe March/April & June/July?
Agree, seasons genuinely wouldn't work unless they added an autumn biome with orange leaves and dark brown aesthetics and they called that a new season Like adding seasons to Minecraft would be like adding 3D movement to Smash Bros.
Seasons wouldn’t necessarily mean to take away snow. A snowy biome could just be a less vs more snowy season. Or it could have extreme cold levels in “winter”
It wont be a seasons update. Many mods have tried and havent found a solution to the snow only changing in loaded chunks problem. Seasons would be too large and risky. Theyre not going to try it now, especially after the 1.17 fiasco.
Even better reason for there to be official code. Mojang can rewire the game to work differently. Mods are more limited. I do agree with you, it would be a risky update, probably one that needs to go into experimental first.

@@foppypoof5195 I feel like you're forgetting what game we're talking about. This is Minecraft. (bird sounds. No bird particles as they'd need to be a mob, and then we run into the firefly problem. That's something an addon can get away with, but an official update can't) the world isn't supposed to change in major ways without player intervention, so even some of these might be pushing it, and none of these would be particularly positive changes for the game, if anything they'd be negative.
I think that if it IS seasons, it’s probably indicating they will implement a specific biome/tree/trees that will be able to be affected by seasons, since this allows other biomes to stay stationary for the players who like the pre-existing ones, but players who want seasons could go to this specific biome.
I think seasosns would ruin the game, imagine you build in a plains biome and it turns into winter, now the world is covered in snow, aren't the snow biomes enough? I don't like the idea of adding seasons. It would undoubtedly ruin several builds for periods of time, and there'd be no way to alter the current season in survival other that MAYBE having a toggle for the entire feature, which would also be a bad solution
