JUST POINTING OUT that the kiss on the cheek scene, though platonic, does show their development, as they had a very hard time doing that in Weredad, and only kissed each other’s cheeks because the parents were watching and it’s what they’re supposed to do. Here, no one was watching, so if they were as uncomfortable as in Weredad, they wouldn’t have kissed each other’s cheeks like that, and it was also a lot more natural than in Weredad. Maybe it’s not exactly with romantic implications, but it certainly shows their development and how much more comfortable they’ve become with each other. After all, the animators had to add that in themselves, they added it in on purpose, so why would they add that in if it didn’t mean anything?

She continues to flirt with him, to kiss him, to hug him, and then turns around and says "how dare you have feelings for me". I think that's why MariChat gives me such comfort. Mari gets to see the honest side of Adrien as Cat Noir without the added love eyes and Cat sees Mari without her obsession with Adrien.
