"I swallowed my cry into song."
"...before spitting it out onto a page into a song..."
I enjoyed her imagery of swallowing goodbye then at the end, spitting it out onto a page. It's like the sensation was flowing inside her until she couldn't help when it finally forced its way out. Naturally, this was a very organic and heartfelt poem.

It is always interesting to hear you read a new poem from the book, it is never really the same as the way I read it.
that ending tho. holy shit. the ebb and flow and pace here is incredible, holding the moment before us but also stretching and pulling to find something new. wow.
