Thank you for that! Everyone's situation is so different, but we are so glad we went now, even if we did have to rush through some beautiful spots. We will be back :)
I'm sure you have checked, but I would make sure there is no alignment issue with the alternator, looks like alot of belt dust on the engine from the previous belt, short straight edge or string should suffice, see if they are aligned
Great fun to be out cruising on the gulf with you, especially when you’re paying the fuel bill. 😂 I do wish to register a complaint that there wasn’t much of Ollie in this episode, though.
Curious if you considered taking the Caloosahatchee River from Ft. Myers through Lake Okeechobee to Stuart to save miles, fuel and time to get to the Bahamas rather than around the Keys.
Hello! Great question! We did consider it, but we heard from a few cruisers that there were some shallow spots, and that you had to go slow....We wanted to lesson the chance of us running aground and knew we were going to hammer down and it would be faster in the long run. Thank you for joining us! :)
Great great video. I love how your bypassing Florida I really would like to do your route so interesting. Keep it up. Enjoy watching it. I know you’re probably all the way back home in Michigan by now but it’s been a pleasure watching all your videos. Take care great travel.
Thank you so much Fred! We did cross our wake a few weeks ago, but we will keep posting the trip videos as we get them finished! Thank you for joining us! :)
What a small treat to see MV Dawn Watch in your video around minute 3:53. We were heading north after completing our loop. I went back to watch your video of the long repair process after the river accident. Glad you got through that and are carrying on.
Wow! How wild! We just dropped a video ofnour stay at Marco Island also lol. We anchored in Smokehouse Bay. We had such a beautiful night there! ❤ Wishes for continued safe travels!🛥😘
It's certainly a pleasure to see the Sea Ray 480 sailing at 22 knots, but 48 gallons an hour... I know you want to be in the Bahamas as soon as possible, but traveling that beautiful coast at 170 miles a day seems very stressful and paying a few extra $$$$. From the point of view of the state of the sea you cannot complain. It looks like a bathtub. Well, I hope for more relaxing days for you. A pleasure to see you.
Thank you for joining us Jose! It wasn't the best financial decision, but after being out for so long, we wanted to get to the Bahamas so we could relax for about 6 weeks and just cruise. We are on a bit of a time crunch, as we aren't fully retired and have to get back home. But next trip, we can slow down and can revisit places we missed. There is just so much to see! :)
Thank you Brian! That was exactly what we kept saying! Now we have a better idea of where we WANT to go! We missed a lot, but no regrets! Thank you for joining us! :)
More good sea conditions! Hope y'all have some great Jimmy Buffett tunes on the box to keep you company on those all day cruises. Good luck with spending some quality time in the Bahamas before hurricane season gets revved up.
I am with you...get to the Bahamas! I had an audit client there and spent most of a winter in Nassau a few years ago. So much fun! Usually when you travel to an audit client you work 60-70 hours per week, however they see things differently down there. It gets done when it gets done. No rushing so I enjoyed the slower pace of waiting for them to get things ready for me and worked at their speed and it was nice. Everything got completed, I enjoyed the island life and everyone was happy. How did we get it so wrong in the states?
Well deserved day or two at "rest ". Several days of 8+ hours on a boat are brutal no matter how calm the seas. Do I hear cocktails in your future? Stay safe.
Absolutely!!! We completely agree, and love crab by the way. I just can't imagine how many get run over and lost. That is an extra expense for the fishermen. We luckily never hit one, but some were really hard to see. Thank you for watching :)
Thank you so much! Bob uses Google maps and the movement is made through Davinci Resolve which is an editing software. Bob said there are lots of you tube tutorials on how to use it. Thank you for joining us! :)
Your right about the ICW lots of traffic way too many idiots who have no business pioleting boats. But their is a certain charm it's amazing how much wealth you see in miles and miles of nothing but mukti million dollar homes
Thank you for watching Dave. I was surprised how much I preferred the open Ocean! I (Kathy) thought that would be my downfall, but there was so much peace and beauty to it! :)
I’ve heard several times, everyone’s loop is different. Don’t worry about what people think about your loop.
You are absolutely correct! We hoped by sharing our thoughts it would encourage others to do it their way :) Thank you for joining us!
Love the enclosed fly bridge on Andromeda! Seems uncommon when I look at listings for 40ft boats.
Thank you Jimy, we do too! Thank you for joining us :)
I would name the dingy OB.
You two do you…. Don’t worry about what anyone says. As long as you are happy.. nothing else matters. Safe travels
Thank you for that! Everyone's situation is so different, but we are so glad we went now, even if we did have to rush through some beautiful spots. We will be back :)
You guys aren’t chasing your dream. You’re running it down like it owes you money!! Keep rocking it out until you get there!
HAHAHAHAHA! We want our $2.00!!!! lol. Thank you Matt, we love your sense of humor :) Thanks for joining us!

Thank you for this! We will have this checked out. It does seem to have a lot of dust. We appreciate you!
Belts break when they are too tight also. Check to see if you have not over tightened your belt
Thank you! We will have this checked now that we are back. Thank you so much!

Looks like Andromeda is performing well so I’m assuming all the repairs were done correctly cheers enjoying your travels

Thank you so much! We loved it there :) I just watched your video too! Love the camera / tech organizer! It sure gets messy sometimes!! lol
@@cruisingandromeda those tech items do get really messy lol! Thank you for watching too!!
Yes they do!! :)

So fun to watch. I was thinking the last few days, zooming by the gulf gives you even more reason to come back. Can't wait for the next video(s)!

Thank you so much Ronnie! :)

YES to the docktails!! Thank you for joining us! :)
Luv these videos! Keep them coming.
Thank you so much Derrick! We have lots more to come :)
Next time, try anchoring in Smokehouse Bay. That's our favorite anchorage in Marco Island. There is a Winn Dixie with a dinghy dock there.
Thank you Ralph! I saved this in my notes for next time :)
Crab Pods? Maybe crab traps people have to make a living.

How much fuel to fill her up?
Hello! Our tanks hold a total of 510 gallons. :)
Nice video. What are you using to make your maps?

@@cruisingandromeda thanks, DaVinci is what I use as well.
Thanks guys, another enjoyable cruise along with you.....nice to have a straightforward run.... 🍻🍻💙🦘🦘🦘
Thank you for joining us Mark! We agree, straightforward runs are THE BEST! lol
48 gallons per hour at 22 mph? How big is your boat?
I believe it’s a 480 sedan bridge.
We do have a 480 Sedan Bridge :)
Thank you for replying before I could get to it! :) We appreciate you joining us :)
