On February 12th, RZIM officially released the (EXPLICIT) FINAL REPORT about Ravi Zacharias. It's NOT pretty. It's a sad day. For the Victims who weren’t believed. For RZIM. For the Church. Nobody wins here. But there IS a way forward! Hope this encourages you!!

Do u think they should change the name of RZIM? BTW, u've mentioned gospel of Jesus Christ. Does it exist? I knew gospel Matthew, Mark, Luke, John but never come across gospel of Jesus Christ.

@@ahmadfuad3910 I'm not sure what they will do with the name, but I think it would probably be for the best at this point. Do you agree? As far as the Gospel of Jesus Christ...you actually HAVE come across that if you know the other 4 gospels :-). I'm not trying to be cute with my words either. I mean that genuinely. The very definition of the word "gospel" is "good news." It occurs over 90 times in the New Testament and refers to the "good news of Jesus Christ." So when Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John share their GOSPEL, they are sharing about the reality of the 2nd person of the Godhead born of a virgin who lived a perfect, sinless life in order to lay that life down as a perfect sacrifice for the sin of mankind. That's what makes is GOOD news! The bad news is that every one of us has SIN. And because God is perfect and holy, no SIN can stand in his stand in his presence. Therefore, sin has to be dealt with...or PAID for. IN the Scriptures, it says that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin (Hebrews 9:22). Therefore, Jesus Christ fulfilled the righteous requirement of God FOR US by laying his own life down in OUR place. He died for YOUR sin and mine and in exchange, WE get his perfect, righteous standing before the Father. THAT is GOOD NEWS! The Bible says that WHOEVER BELIEVES in Jesus will be saved...will not perish, but have everlasting life. Again, very good news!! It is the best gift and best news anyone could ever receive. That is the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a nutshell. Thank you for watching and I hope this encouraged you!

@@Sherlock245 It's common for people to do their best to hide their bad behaviors from being exposed. No matter how hard they try, truth will always prevail. They plan, almighty god also plans. Surely, the almighty god is the best of planners. He's the most wise, most just and most merciful. People can use their influence/power/money to get away from juridisction system, but they can't escaped from the justice of almighty god. If they repented to almighty god and ask for forgiveness from the victims, by the grace of almighty god, they shall be forgiven. But if they continue and ignoring the sign and warning from almighty god, then it will become a sickness in their heart. The more they challenge almighty god by intentionally committing the same evil, for sure the punishment will be severe till not only them can bear it but also their loved ones. We should always remember that there's nothing hidden from almighty god. Almighty God will show his justice so the victims won't be blamed and the wrong doers will be accountable for their actions.

@Henryk Czemierzewski He is dead how much more of an end do you want? Also free will just because someone follows God doesn't mean they give up free will or do you want God to remove free will? Another thing is Satan is the ruler of this world those who do wicked always seem to be aided in doing so even in simple matters like lying and get away with things longer than they should because being worldly is easy and celebrated and if it hurts/stops people from following Christ it seems to be that much worse and go for that much longer.
Jesus is the example not man everyone is a sinner except Jesus who was without sin took the weight of our sin and died giving us redemption if we choose to accept the gift and believing in Jesus and his sacrifice for you and me is the start of acceptance.

@A S You should look into Islam with logic and facts so you can know it is a false idol is God complete lacking nothing all knowing all powerful? Has "Allah" felt death? Has "Allah" defeated death? Can "Allah" become a man? Can "Allah" have a child? Answer is no so "Allah" cannot be god because it is lacking it is not all knowing and is not all powerful.
Jesus Christ, The God of the Bible has done all of this and more lacking nothing.

Why is his comment offensive to you?
JESUS did say follow ME not follow people.
And JESUS is supposed to be the center for us all.
His statement does not excuse, justify, nor condone Mr. Zacharias' sexual misconduct.
He isnt saying what he did was somehow the women's fault.
He's saying that we are to *trust* and *follow* JESUS only, not man, no matter who that man is and claims to be.
The truth is what sets people free, but the truth can be hard to hear and accept.
The truth is that while he manipulated, seduced, and groomed these women, they made poor choices. Unless he forced them physically, those women still made choices.
And while I understand that some of them where in financial need and extenuating circumstances, they still made the choice. Does that mean what he did was right or an example of JESUS? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

To be aware of something doesnt mean that you have the spiritual power to perform it, that includes prayer and reading and understanding the WORD. The Gifts and callings of GOD are without repentance. That gift will operate if you are willing to use it. But the relationship is whats need not just the function. The functioning of that gift is nothing more than stumble without a close and personal relationship and fellowship with the Giver of that gift.
      This is why Scripture declares
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
I dont think its complicated at all. If ye through the SPIRIT do mortify the deeds of the flesh...and if you live by the flesh ye shall die.
He obviously lived by the flesh and not the SPIRIT.
But it is sad and heartbreaking though for his wife and daughters I believe.

He prophesied that 2021 was going to the “The Year or Scandal” and that God was getting ready to expose the long held corruption across all spheres and including ministry, hollywood, politics etc. And it will be scandal after scandal. And lo and behold it has happened and keeps happening across the board. From Ravi to the actor Armie Hammer and we’re only in February. In terms of the church in general there is no way this kind of behaviour happens alone. The people who were bystanders knew about it and let it happen must face consequences as well. And I terms of huge ministries like they there needs to be a stronger vetting process of ALL staff conduct and especially the lead pastor especially if he has the platform of a Ravi. But we also need more emphasis on praying for our leaders across the board. Pray for their hearts and their character to sustain on the platform they’ve been given. When two or more pray surely God answers imagine what the prayers of a whole community of believers across the globe can do.

Are they truths though? We will never know the truth until we hear Ravi's side of the story. The Investigation should have been commenced before he died so that his side of the story could be heard and part of the record too. Thus investigation report is based on a one-sided story. It was not tested on trial in a court of law to give it such power of influence.

@EarlBagot That is a great question my friend. One that I’ve asked as well. Unfortunately there WERE allegations against him in 2017, but the woman wasn’t believed and was even attacked for it. It destroyed her life and family. Ironically it is that very case that the investigation gave more weight to after all of these “new” allegations broke. Unfortunately I think we will hear even more evidence some out about it confirming it all. Ultimately it doesn’t matter when they came out. Yes, we would have definitely wanted to see him have an opportunity to defend himself. Yet he doesn’t need to because there is enough overwhelming evidence from multiple women in multiple countries that show it is true. Even RZIM itself shared as much. I wish it weren’t so. Even more so for these women. Thanks for watching and I hope this helped!

Two witnesses were sufficient for an investigation, but in addition to MANY witnesses there was GLARING evidence that was ignored. Interesting that in everything this board has said so far, they haven't explained why in the face of such blatant sin and overwhelming evidence they did nothing.

@@haleyguthrie3113 Wow. Thanks for sharing this. I believe that the Church just simply has not done enough to help native americans and to your point, in many cases done a lot more harm than good and the betrayal on the part of the U.S. govt towards many native american tribes was absolutely monstrous. What needs to happen is an organic movement within native american churches/ believers where spiritually mature leaders are raised up. It's not that non-native american Christian leaders can't help - they can, but culture and traditions need to be respected. This should be the case for ANY culture around the world as long as the traditions aren't anti-biblical. If they are, then there should still be sensitivity in dealing with any of those issues. Per accusations, the reason Paul says "two or three witnesses" is obvious, although I would agree that if the evidence is obvious (inappropriate emails etc.) then even one is enough. Per bringing in non flock members to help, I would agree in cases where the elders fail to adequately deal with accusations, but if you raise up strong mature elders they can remove a Pastor who is in sin. I've seen it happen both ways. I had a situation about 17 yrs ago where a Pastor who was a closet homosexual predator, tried to seduce a young man I was discipling at the time. This was a "cutting edge" large 2,000 member Charismatic church. The young man didn't give into this predator's seduction because he isn't a homosexual but it was devastating to him and as a result he went back into using drugs. I confronted the Pastor the best way I knew how without 2 or more witnesses but he denied doing anything wrong. 11 years after this incident me and a close friend of mine were launching a ministry in the same city area where this happened. Our apostolic oversight wanted us to connect to this Pastor's church. I vehemently refused so my friend and I got into a bit of a disagreement over it. When I saw we weren't getting anywhere I said "OK let's pray". I prayed that God would expose this Pastor for the charlatan that he is. Well guess what happened? I found out weeks later from someone on staff at the church that within ONE HOUR of me praying that prayer, a male staff member who was having an affair with this Pastor broke down in tears and confessed the sin they were engaged in. The other leaders were so weak and had been in denial for so long about this Pastor that a third party had to be called in to investigate the entire matter because the Pastor denied everything and the leaders were too weak to deal with it. After a full thorough investigation, the outside team investigating it recommended that all of the other leaders who allowed this should resign. Getting rid of the Pastor was more difficult but he was eventually forced out, even though he never repented.

Just as that is our past, US persecution (for the most part) is also in the past. We are Christians. Over the last days I have watched numerous opinions on Ravi Zacharias scandal. I have over the years immensely enjoyed listening to Ravi. I loved his bright mind and brilliant communication skills. He was this kind of messenger of the gospel that did not make you cringe or feel embarrassed. I always regarded his teaching to be sound and Jesus focused. In the last years I did notice that he often mentioned the many days of travelling and ministry as a huge price to pay. I also did notice he would notice him speaking alot about his achivements. But there always will be stuff that does not look perfect. I know many compare this down fall with Lenz from Hillsong, but I would argue that this is much worse. Carl Lenz was a far cry from a worthy servant of the gospel. Like many of his American counterparts his flamboyant style and rich lifestyle made one ashamed to be associated with this kind of stage/celebrity spiritual lightweight preacher. Lenzes downfall seemed inevitably. Ravi seemed of a different more sober and worthy servant in the kingdom of God. This is why it is a real blow and so difficult for all to get their heads around. What was presented and what was really going on was so far apart and that is scary. One word comes to mind from 1 peter 4:7; the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? With all the other stuff going on in the world, we can only hope/pray that God will take control of His church again and that all the many lies, deception, cunning, manipulation and hypocrisy will be revealed and we all will come through as a church worthy of the name we carry. Let us all wherever pray and be diligent in our pursuit not for success, fame or even influence, but for obedience, humility and love

Let’s pray for those God has called to be the barers of His message. Pray for their protection, pray for their strength, pray for their ability to resist sin. And also pray these things for you and me.
      2. Sin is destructive: what Ravi has done to those poor women, what he has done to his family and what he has done to us who listened to him, it hurt all of us. Some more than others, some can be repaired, some not. But I know it hurts God the most, yet he had to let it happen. It was Ravi’s choice. Ravi made attempts to hide his sin. When we do things in darkness, it hurts not just ourself, but those around us. Our sins have nailed Jesus to the cross, Ravi’s, mine, yours. But that’s where the sadness end. Thanks go to God for taking it upon His Son to redeem our sins. He will not hold our sins against us as long as we can repent, get on our knees and ask Jesus to take our failing upon Him. Pray for those who got hurt by Ravi and those that we hurt with our failings. Pray that we can be better each day.
      3. The truth remains the truth. No matter what Ravi did, I believe what he said about Christianity and what he stood for is still the truth. If El Chapo confessed that God is the truth, then it’s still the truth, no matter who says it or even f he believed what he said. Just because Ravi could not live what he preached, it does not make what he taught untruthful. It just merely shows he is human and not to be put on a pedestal. He still preached the truth. That there is Christianity. If only we became perfect once we choose Jesus as our saviour. But that’s not how it works. That would not be a relationship. God wants a real relationship with us. Failings and all.
      4. Christianity is different: what I find so strange about our faith and how the Lord operates, we just struggle to comprehend. The greatest figures in the bible were all massive sinners. Moses had big failings. He killed an Egyptian. Yet God chose him. He lost faith numerous times, got angry, yet, never did God turn on Moses. David: himself an adulterer, put someone on the frontline in battle to be able to marry his wife. Despicable. Look at Saul, Solomon, Joseph, Jacob, they were all sinners. Yet theses are Jesus lineage. These sinners were chosen by God to lead His nation, despite their failings. The apostles: Peter, look how many times Jesus rebuked him for doing wrong things, keeping the children away from Jesus, arguing who is the greatest apostle, Matthew 16:23 are very strong words Jesus used to rebuke Peter. Peter denied Jesus even after he was warned he will do so. What about Paul (Saul), the persecutor of Christians, blood on his hands. Not one single person in the bible had no failure, apart from Jesus. Yet, these are the ones God chose and so dearly loved. And that is why we are also called and loved, not because we are great, because we are sinners, we recognise our failings and we know God is our father and He has only love and compassion for us. Add Ravi to the list of sinners. Who in their right mind will use people like these? It goes against anything our society upholds. But, God does. That the paradox of our faith. We recognise what is good, yet we still fail to uphold these principles. Why should Ravi be any different.
Pray that the Holy Spirit can guide us and lead us not into temptation. That the Holy Spit will walk with us, every day so that God willing, we can resist these temptation when they come. But also know we’ll fail, but that our failure can and will end in victory. Hopefully this can help explain to others why this sort of thing happens. Christianity is a life journey, ups and downs, failures and victories. That’s how we learn, that’s how we get stronger. That’s how we learn how to love our enemies. If we were perfect, how would we learn forgiveness? Christianity is not about be righteous. We cant be. We can only strive to be. Christianity is about love, redemption, forgiveness and having an intimate relationship with God, the creator of everything. It’s mind blowing that God even gives us a second glance. Yet He wants a relationship with you. He wants to know you in the good times and bad times. He just so hopes that we can find it in us to love Him. To seek Him. To care to spend time with Him.
God bless and enjoy your journey with God, hopefully others will realise that what you have is very very special.

The whole point of becoming a Christian is that we don’t have to live like hell anymore. It’s not “putting him on a pedestal” to expect him to be faithful to his wife the same way millions of men, many of them unsaved, are faithful to their wives. I think we’ll find out that the “good” of men like Ravi Zacharias never outweighs the damage they think they can control. I hope nobody tries to defend this guy (or any of the thousand like him) as a “man of God who made some horrible mistakes.”

    • @gillianstewart8442
      @gillianstewart8442 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

There is no defending what Ravi has done. It’s despicable, it’s hurtful and destructive. I also hope nobody defends this behaviour. But I do believe he was a man who believed in God and yes he made horrible mistakes. But we all make horrible mistakes, me, you, we all do. None of it is right.
Look at anyone in the bible (with exception of Jesus). Not one single person that did not sin. In fact, the most prominent people, were the worst sinners:
Moses had big failings. He killed an Egyptian. Yet God chose him. He lost faith numerous times, got angry, yet, never did God turn on Moses. David: himself an adulterer, put someone on the frontline in battle to be able to marry his wife. Despicable. Look at Saul, Solomon, Joseph, Jacob, Daniël, they were all sinners. Yet theses are Jesus lineage. These sinners were chosen by God to lead His nation, despite their failings. To uphold Gods law.
You can add me to this list, you can add Ravi to this list. Is any of this right? No. But that is what is so special about Christianity. If just 1 person was free of sin, then what was the point of Jesus? For all our failings (and that of Ravi), we should be condemned. BUT, this is where Jesus comes in. He came to be my, your and everyone else’s advocate and redeemer. If we confess and acknowledge our failures to Jesus, He will wipe clear our record. Unconditionally. True forgiveness. The choice is ours.
I feel for those Ravi hurt. The way he has done it. I pray for them, that they can find the strength to go through it. Not to turn their backs on Jesus just because Ravi preached the gospel of Jesus. But that they will see he had sinned and ultimately can get to the point of forgiveness, just like the bible asked us to do. And to be honest to you, that’s asking a lot of them. As a man I’m trying to put myself in their shoes. But I just can’t. So I pray that the Holy Spirit will help them heel. That they can find through all of this the love of God and that their relationship will be stronger through this. But I also pray for Ravi’s soul, my God take pity on him, despite of his failings.

In the investigation he is reported as praying to God with a woman , thanking God for the opportunity for them 2 b together. The female has little or none of the discernment necessary to know the blasphemy he is speaking. Our Father in heaven is a holy and righteous God. Praying like this in the company of the victim encourages the victim to believe that everything is ok and acceptable b4 God in their liaison. It is clearly obvious
to me, that RZ never appreciated the holiness of God and treated him like a pagan entity, willing to partake and assist in such things. This is blasphemy against the holy Spirit who is our Father. I dont mind being wrong and admitting it.

    • @mesmith2526

There definitely aren’t enough believers that recognize this. Where some may be able to control their flesh from this aspect, there may be other areas that they struggle with, but aren’t as frequently convicted on those issues, because lust is often the primary focus. Things such as pride/selfishness(often lovers of self)/hatred/foolishness/etc. often are less emphasized. Personally I feel as though I’ve grown the closest I have in my relationship with God over the past 3 years, yet the one area I too always struggle with is lust, while all of those other things I’ve mentioned have never been that big of issues for me, since I’ve tried to adopt and practice a Spirit of meekness from a young age. I see many pastors that are quick to condemn many other sins, yet they are clearly narcissistic themselves and are unable to correct their own theology (often from other theologians that have taken scripture out of context) they preach, when confronted about it (I was a PK most of my life, so this comes from years of personal observation). Pastors often overlook what Paul writes in Romans too.
“We know that the Law is spiritual, but I am a creature of the flesh [worldly, self-reliant-carnal and unspiritual], sold into slavery to sin [and serving under its control]. For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled and bewildered by them]. I do not practice what I want to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate [and yielding to my human nature, my worldliness-my sinful capacity]. Now if I habitually do what I do not want to do, [that means] I agree with the Law, confessing that it is good (morally excellent). So now [if that is the case, then] it is no longer I who do it [the disobedient thing which I despise], but the sin [nature] which lives in me. For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness-my sinful capacity]. For the willingness [to do good] is present in me, but the doing of good is not. For the good that I want to do, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. But if I am doing the very thing I do not want to do, I am no longer the one doing it [that is, it is not me that acts], but the sin [nature] which lives in me.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:14-20‬ ‭AMP‬‬
      www.bible.com/1588/rom.7.14-20.amp
Also brother, it’s important to note the difference from guilt and conviction , since it is often taught as one and the same. The Holy Spirit convicts, while the enemy uses guilt to distract us from spiritual growth, and making us question our own worth. Guilt is a form of manipulation, manipulation being a form of witchcraft (something I’ve learned from Derek Prince). The Holy Spirit doesn’t manipulate us, because it’s a violation of free will, which was created by God, and people have to choose in accordance with that free will to serve since he won’t violate what he’s created.
Hadn’t learned this until more recently, hopefully it helps you in your walk as well.
I’m still personally trying to fight the same battle, but if we fall, all we can do is get back up and do our best to try again.
“If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. If we say that we have not sinned [refusing to admit acts of sin], we make Him [out to be] a liar [by contradicting Him] and His word is not in us.”

I remember when he spoke about the attempted raping of babies that he witnessed and how demonic the men were.
This is so sad. He always appeared to be a calm highly rational, compassionate man that anyone could emulate.
Oh, how sad. I'll pray for all who have been hurt in any way by him and other 'leaders' out there. We have a way of looking for ppl we can follow and sometimes wind up making them an idol in a sense. I think it's easy for us to do because we can see them, hear them, and touch them in a way that seems easier than seeing, hearing and touching God.

Seeing as RZIM has done all of this work on their own; investigation, apology, et. al. I question the motives of this man who is making all of these videos. I see NO scripture that says anything to the effect of "If your brother or sister sins, you who are not at all involved with any aspect of the matter, go and point out their fault, just between you and your 3.49K subscribers, to build your channel on TH-cam. If people listen to you, you have won them over as subscribers to your channel. Which, if your channel grows large enough, you can earn tons of cash $$$. I'm talking about them Benjamin's bro." BTW... Be sure to use consumer-grade, hobbyist level equipment, purchased on a discount website - which the combined purchase amount is far less than one professional-level camera body alone.. While attempting to deceive people into thinking you are some sort of involved professional, while you drone on and on about things people could easily find on their own. Things officially released by those who are, in fact deeply involved AND following correct scriptural protocols for this sort of tragic failing of an otherwise great man." There is NO call from God to do this.
The scriptures did NOT call you to do this. #Matthew18:15ExposesYouDude, #Galatians6:1compels, #Romans2:1condemns

Processing - the frustration of not being able to tell Ravi exactly what I thing of him. Frustration of churches making the same mistakes over and over again. Querying whether the RIGHT people are candidating or being accepted into the ministry and what it means when you build "your own" ministry and become your own CEO. Thin-skinned, highly strung, lofty people are accepted as spiritual leaders - with no shepherds heart. I thought that pastors were supposed to be caring people, compassionate, humble, teachable and correctable individuals. More needs to be done to stop the likes of Ravi garnering such power. Until the church addresses this, churches will continue to be unsafe places for some children and some vulnerable adults.

And because the Gift of God is without repentance, even if Ravi were still alive, he still would have spoken the truth of God's word as that's was the Gift ofGod to him!

I think the difference with RZ is that his sinfulness was willing and calculated. He chose his victims and groomed them over weeks and months. This is the sign of a devious heart. We are clothed in sinful flesh but God has given us free-will and self-control, we make choices for good or for evil and if we are truly born-again then God will convict us of our sins and help us to overcome them, not wallow in them.

  • @h8tingit

"If Ravi couldn't do it, how can I?" A lifestyle of sin is far different from a struggle with sin. It's not that Ravi couldn't do it, it's more like he relished in doing it. From what I see, Ravi has taught us one final and most important thing: that we need to put the fear and trembling of Philippians 2 back in our walk because if Ravi could be deceived and led astray, so can we. We need to be more vigilant than ever.
