Other places are extracting lithium and utilizing lithium pools. It's a slow process and requires a lot of land to spread out the lithium pools so the sun helps crystalize the minerals.
Companies who were producers of geothermal energy were finding lithium in their brine. This has prompted fracking companies to look at their tailings ponds.

I was looking for the stock, but I come up with 2 with 2 different acronyms and obviously different prices.
The first symbol that comes up for me is HZ (0.16) the other is HZLIF (0.12)
Would you be able to tell me what would be the stock of the company in question?

What is the environmental impact of this type of hard rock extraction?
Much less than letting Africa and china do it. They are in the middle of nowhere, no one will even know they did it.
@@MadZax33 you probably mean Australia and Chile? Traditionally they use open pools and évaporation to the open air, concentration the pumped up liquid. This will not work in Canada so they will need extra power inputs
@@ttkddry That extra power is coming from Hydro Electric plants, arguably the most sustainable and clean source of energy. With plenty of surplus, since there are not any big cities nearby.
Aboriginals in the area will usually help keep these mines clean as realistically possible.
